Rescue Rickies and retard Fire Medics kill this job for me. The arrogance and bravado is annoying, the over-treatment of patients piss me off.
The only calls that make me uncomfortable is kids. My company does both 911 and transfer, ive been very fortunate that I've only had them in transfer, only had one almost die. Poor fucker was in SVT for hours ready to crash and the ER doc had his dick in his hand.
Maybe its me blocking out the emotions, but family involved 911s have gotten so annoying. Having to explain what happened to someones loved ones brain in a stroke, Why narcan isn't touching them, why we can't just keep doing CPR for ever...
I relate to their desperation but... god fucking damn it thats not how it works and Im sorry.

Actually kids didn't bother me that much. If they weren't completely mental I was usually pretty good with them.
If they're not moving around, You can hyperventilate them a little bit. sometimes that works.
