What's the best enemy from the Doom series? And why is it the Cacodemon?

meatball
it is the perfect demonstration of the interaction between Doom's weapons and enemies
it has a moderately large health pool which can be frustrating however it is easily made ineffective with use of the chaingun because of its 50% pain chance, making the shotgun rather ineffective against it despite doing more damage
Wait a minute...Adrian Carmack is a phony!
HE'S A BIG FAT PHONY
>using the chaingun on cacos
if you're playing doom 1, sure. if you're on doom 2 or any .wad that uses doom2 and have the super shotty, why the fuck wouldn't you, it kills faster and cacos die in 2-3 super shotties anyways. really the cg is overall way too shit unless you're fighting hordes of weak enemies, or at a weird middle range engagement where the shotgun is bad but you don't want to use rockets.
>pain chance
If you're having trouble with one caco and need to rely on pain chance, quit life
if you're against a swarm of cacos or there's other stuff, wasting time trying to pain chance lock a single enemy while the rest of the room rapes you is a terrible idea
He's so CUTE
To quote Marge: I just think they're neat. But Pain Elementals are better.
Did you make the /vr/ thread because this one isn't doing too hot?
The only doom i played is doom 2016
I also played doom 1 with my father when i still had one. Never finished o
1 or 2
That being said, tbe little headbutting fuckers are the worst.
Especilly liked those fat cyborg globs who attacked their own just for fun
Take those headbutting fuckers now imagine a brown Cacodemon that spits those out infinitely until you kill it and upon death spawns 5 more
