Meant for OP.
If you hate Skyrim so much why do you have so many hours clocked on it?
>Obviously the lifelong fans of TES will know that the series has been getting worse since Daggerfall
It's hard to say worse objectively, it's more like the series is changing and most people who were into daggerfall and arena find that it's just got a different design philosophy.
So it's worse for the original fans because we get less of the game we got into the series for, and more of a game that we don't care about.
Shut up and post more giant women.
True enough. There's definitely less roleplaying than there was. My main beef with Skyrim compared to Morrowind, Daggerfall, etc, is the fact that your choices don't really matter. Like yeah, there's the arbitrary decisions between Stormclocks/Imperials. But you can't just murder plot characters and destroy the story like you could before, which I thought was really liberating in it's own broken way.
Sometimes a game's problems are not apparent until the novelty of the game itself wears off. It's initial success doesn't always tell us how good a game is (remember marketing and hype).
>Combat is too easy
>Homogenization of RPG elements
>Too many essentials
>NPC's are poorly acted
>NPC's are retarded
>No spellmaking
>Levelled loot still sucks
>Levelled enemies are better, but still shit
>Cities are mere glorified villages with walls
>Cities are still their own cells because console faggotry
>Fast Travel ruins the usefulness of a horse
>Compass ruins the fun of discovery
>No real memorable quests
>Tons of shitty fetch quests
>Retarded radiant quests
>Too many generic items, not a lot of uniques
>Interiors of many places are larger than their exteriors
>No family heirlooms or random artifacts in people's houses, no reason to be in them
>Dragons are fucking goddamn annoying to fight, no real challenge just a time killer
I could say much more than this. Mods fix some of the above but the game is still a damn mess with many problems and bugs.
Imagine the smelle!
it's fun until you realise how shallow it is, you can get a good few hours out of it before you realise every dungeon, quest, town, enemy etc is all the same
half of my hours is to test if my game doesn't crash after I downloaded every possible mod on loverslab
mostly to get the porn mods working
then spending 15/20 minutes playing with the mods and then never touching them again until someone brings it up on Yea Forums again
>>Fast Travel ruins the usefulness of a horse
>>Compass ruins the fun of discovery
I turned off both in the .ini and I had a fucking blast with the game again.
