Yes thank you, I'd appreciate that
I want to get into old Wrpgs cause I don’t know shit about them
Alright keep the thread bumped while I upload them
wtf is wrong with beamdog
glad I never bought shit from there or any cancerous "Enhanced" editions
No Eye of the Beholder either.
What's the logic behind THAC again? Something like they need to roll a specific number threshold to land a hit?
Thanks bruh I'll keep that in mind
It's fun to venture into foreign territory sometimes, thankfully it doesn't feel like a gatekeeping genre.
Why do I see this post in every single thread about wrpgs?
Is this the /tg/ version of barneyfag?

THAC0.
To hit armor class zero.
AC zero represents a fully armored knight with a shield. An AC higher than zero (a positive number) is subtracted from your thaco because they're easier to damage than a knight.
A negative AC is added to your thaco because it's an even better armor than full plate and shield.
Example: Thromduil the dwarf has a thaco of 17. He fights a goblin with a really shitty AC of 6. 17-6=11. Thromduil needs to roll an 11 to hit the goblin.
Then Thromduil fights a dragon with a -4 AC. 17-(-4)=21. Thromduil needs to roll a 20 to hit the dragon since a 20 will always hit.
TLDR: High bad, low good.
