They make it better, but "worth playing again" is a stretch.

Skyrim at its core is a broken, ugly mess of a game. Mods help of course, but it never feels "good" to play.

The campaigns/story/quests are made as an afterthought. Bethesda only puts out these games knowing people only buy them to make hentai/waifu mods. Nothing more. Thats why the games never get better or barely have any changes/improvements.

Yeah, you can't fix it's core problems like the shitty quest design, shitty writing and overall structure of the game, but you can inject it with all sorts of amusing shit and fix alot of smaller problems.
