1 was trash, sold well anyways and baiscully made cover based shooters a thing
2 was great, unbalanced as fuck but really fun
3 was extreamly balanced and a very fun game
Judgement removed the abilty to play as locust, so i stopped giving a shit just like when halo removed the abilty to play as elites
i forgot 4 came out and never played it
i never cared for gears campaigns and there fucking annoying in difficulty

Personally don't see that as a positive. Gears 1 and 2 are my favorite primarily due to their deliberately tight level layouts. If you're referring to MP, couldn't give less of a shit.

Some innovation couldn't hurt, especially since it was only unique for the first 2 games. Doubt people still care for the story since it went to shit after 2.
