In real life most high schoolers, male or female, go to high school because it just exists and while they might place an importance on clubs, they're not going to do much except go "wow that sucks" if someone in their club is kicked out of school. They wouldn't kidnap their advisor and hold him hostage in front of everyone.
And they ESPECIALLY would not do so if, like in this show, they didn't even seem to be very close to each other. Mari Okada is not just a shitty writer, but she is genuinely autistic. She has no idea what normal people are like so there is always a point where she decides the drama has to kick in and everyone starts acting like inhuman fucking retards, and this was that point. And then, because Okada is a retard herself, you can bet that after this episode, everything will basically go back to normal as though nothing fucking happened because that too is something she always does.
20 years in the industry and this bitch still can't write.
