This, but to elaborate I particularly like the way it doesn't fuck around for a second. It's tightly paced and has a well structured narrative that achieves more in twelve episodes than most shows could in a hundred.

I disagree, Steins;Gate is slightly better than Madoka Magica because of the cast. Anyways, weird how all 3 are from 2011.

I agree. People call it a brilliant deconstruction and throw around a lot of philosophical mumbo jumbo (more with rebellion though) but disregarding that, it's just a damn good show with a lot of thought and talent behind it that really stood out to me.
