Texas. I know about Ohio's flat-ass landscape and laws, though. 45-70 is just too good though: it can run black powder, the brass lasts forever if you're reloading at trapdoor pressures, and the velocity is very amenable to loading hard cast lead. in other words, it's futureproof and very reloader friendly.

I'm in Ohio but the hilly part. The straight walled cartridge restrictions suck but I've moved on to flintlock rifles anyway.
If I do go back to cartridge rifles it would be an 1873 Winchester in .44-40 but I don't know if it will fly as straight wall or not.
