I honestly cannot fathom how anybody else can make music after listening to this album. It obliterates anything in its path. Crushes any other artistry in the medium.
I don’t understand how music can be so good. I lay in my bed sobbing at how beautiful and profound it was. How could Tool ever possibly outdo this album? They’ve always outdone their last, but this seems to be an un-repeatable, unattainable level of auditory experience.
I am absolutely weakened by this album, I cannot exist next to its greatness.
No other band can sound like this. No other band can make music like this. All of the compositions are perfect. Every note, every sequence, there for a reason. Nothing out of place. All is balanced. This is the peak of all musicianship.
All hail Tool. They have become the immortal gods of music.
agreed. It's a masterpiece. I've tried listening to other things in the past 2 days and after a song or two i would just keep coming back to this album.
Colton Robinson
not that into this record but it holds up as a tool album
What's with all the faggots on rym giving this album 1-2 stars? it's easily better than undertow and 10,000 days
Connor Jones
Because it's new
Kevin Walker
DUDE DMT
Hunter Gutierrez
Yeah it is better than those two. I don't understand RYM, seems a lot like the brigading that I have heard also goes on pitiful websites like reddit. Makes me happy to be a clueless boomer who never bothered with RYM.
Ryder James
Poor bait or genuinely based?
Joseph Hill
this but unironically
Owen Garcia
mm hmm
Sebastian James
Fear Inoculum is like an MMO. It's a lot of tedious grinding for tiny bits of satisfaction. Much like MMOs, it's kind of a waste of time.
Blake Kelly
whats with these omegatier plebs?
Evan Roberts
Somebody on here said CCT was trash and I realized why I never come to this board.
Jordan Morris
The intensity and frequency of Tool threads seems to be winding down. So this is it?

i'm having a really hard time listening to this record
first, due to the production. for some reason they really fucked the drums up in the mix. they're all squashed to shit and danny's dynamics are flattened out into an inaudible smattering of hits with no oomph. listening to danny's rolls in the introduction to "Sober" had more punch and dynamics than this entire album. which is a shame because his drumming is literally insane on this record.
adam's guitars are also way too loud in the mix and don't form a good cohesive unity with the bass parts like on previous albums. his riffs seemed watered down too.
compositionally, I found there was no point in this album where I got chills when the band came to a climax like so many of their previous songs. instead, we get six 10 minute songs that sound more like fleshed-out trio jams that maynard slapped cutting room floor APC drafts onto.
i really hope this one grows on me but I tried to listen to it again today and had to just shut it off because it felt monotonous.

Might be the truest statement ever made on this board
