I honestly cannot fathom how anybody else can make music after listening to this album. It obliterates anything in its path. Crushes any other artistry in the medium.
I don’t understand how music can be so good. I lay in my bed sobbing at how beautiful and profound it was. How could Tool ever possibly outdo this album? They’ve always outdone their last, but this seems to be an un-repeatable, unattainable level of auditory experience.
I am absolutely weakened by this album, I cannot exist next to its greatness.
No other band can sound like this. No other band can make music like this. All of the compositions are perfect. Every note, every sequence, there for a reason. Nothing out of place. All is balanced. This is the peak of all musicianship.
All hail Tool. They have become the immortal gods of music.
