Ego I guess. Hes a lot more chilled out now I hear after his new religious awakening but back in the 80's and 90's he rubbed off as a real prick. Not that I care really since hes a fucking legend. The whole Metallica thing and his history of being really into drugs and alcohol prob also didn't help matters.

I've been reading up on him. l know rock stars can be a bit over the top but is it normal to be this insane and pathetic? How is he even even alive? How has he never managed to kill anyone?

I tend to agree. He is being kind of pathetic at this point, and I'd argue he hasn't been pushed over the edge is due to his outlet being music and the fact he has a lot of success combined with the fact he is a family man.
