Almost the entire world said a big "Fuck You" to Russia, even when they defeat Ukraine, they are still fucked, China wants nothing to do with Russia because "Its only business".The Chinese are cunning and smart, they will make you think that you are their allie but come wartime, they want nothing to do with you and that is exactly what is happening with their so called allies, the Russians.

It will not end that quickly, shit will either escalate to high heavens, or conflict will somewhat freeze but will drag for years to come maybe even though decade. I see 3 scenarios how it can end:

Ukraine will almost certainly not cede more territory, given that not immediately taking Crimea back lead to this current war, there's no reason to suspect that giving Russia more ground now wouldn't lead to a 3rd "special operation" in a few years time when they decide they want all of Ukraine's southern coast.
If Ukraine legitimise Russia's tactics now, they will just keep doing it.
