Ukraine will almost certainly not cede more territory, given that not immediately taking Crimea back lead to this current war, there's no reason to suspect that giving Russia more ground now wouldn't lead to a 3rd "special operation" in a few years time when they decide they want all of Ukraine's southern coast.

It's going to be interesting. Zelensky was posturing that there would be no ceeding of territory to Russia. If they'd popped the offer a week in it might have been taken, but Russia has been on the back heel for a while now, while Ukraine recieves more support and weapons. Russia dropped the offensives against Kiev and the northern front has been sliding for weeks.
It really comes down to whether Zelensky sees value in ending the war early, or is more of a "no war but total war" kind of guy. His comments may just be posturing for the negotiation table. I don't know which I believe.
