Iggy Pop question

>Money and commercialism made them all sell out. Even Iggy let me down. The Sex Pistols let me down. Sid let me down when he fell in love (that’s why they are all dead). And now we have the Ramones praising bands like Guns N’ Roses, which runs against everything they were set out to destroy.
That’s from the GG Allin Manifesto. For those who know about Iggy Pops career, what would GG be referring to? When did he “sell out”?

>The Sex Pistols let me down
I guess he was too stupid to realize that the Sex Pistols were a corporate manufactured band

you realize iggy pop existed before he ever released an album right? he was an underground punker then signed to a major label for his first release. all you know him for is his recordings so you think. oh he never changed. thats because he sold out before he made any studio recordings. his debut was on the biggest record label on the planet.

I don't if a local fashion store can be considered "corporate", but they were definitely manufactured

Is there anything about this I could look into?

I mean I don't follow Iggy Pop at all or know anything about his career

when did gg write this?

I mean, at that time, you would have heard THIS on the radio, maybe MTV

What are you supposed to think, as an Iggy fan?
