That shit you posted looks like the most boring 700 club 50s tie n slax whitebread conservative stuff you could ever make

It's a shame that your generation isn't able to appreciate such good music but think that "Little Dicky is hard"

both are mass produced cheap crap pandering for a specific audience
if you listen to that 'old music' example you're just as stupid as anyone who is really into rap

You chose a slow song for "popular music before", so it would only make sense you choose a popular slow song for today. you're showing polar ends of the spectrum. You should've chose something like Screamin' Jay Hawkins, Chuck Berry, or the white equivalent of those kinds of guys if you were being serious. Maybe The Animals, for example, they're kind of rebellious. you might have had a point then

Maybe.

Out of all the good shit that came out in the past, why would you use that particular song as an example? I could see the appeal, but it just sounds boring compared to a lot of good shit back in the day.

Hell, if anything you could've used 50's-60's jazz or 70's funk/soul as a prime example of how good popular black music was, until record labels started killing hip-hop & shitted it all up with lame rappers & corny trap beats.

Because he thinks he knows more about music than he does

I like Versace. It's a nice song to party and the flow and entertaining. Ms. Jackson is very cringe(especially the chorus). Without me sounds bad because of Eminem's weird high pitched shit.

>It's a nice song to party and the flow and entertaining.
It's literally an advert tho

So what? An advert can't be nice to party to? And can't have a nice flow?

Also, old school Hip Hop has no say when it comes to that. They have been advertising for big brands.

You blatantly ignored a song like that in your "Rap when I was a kid" list :
youtube.com/watch?v=JNua1lFDuDI

>nice flow
You don't know what "flow" means. You're just using it to say "it sounds nice" in other words. The flow is the rhythm and rhyme of the song. The problem with Migos in general is that their rap has exactly one rhythm, triplets and the problem with this song in particular is that it has the laziest fucking rhyme scheme ever.

Any idiot can chain brand names together on 3 syllables for each beat over the same damn thumping bassline and high-hats every other trap artist is using. In fact every idiot who makes trap music does exactly that that.

>You blatantly ignored a song like that in your "Rap when I was a kid" list :
Yes because that song came out when my dad was a kid.

>You don't know what "flow" means.
No I know what flow mean you elitist arrogant bastard.

>The problem with Migos in general is that their rap has exactly one rhythm, triplets
Wow, what a problem. They are using triplets over 4. When an old white composer makes triplets over 4 he is a "poly-rhythmic genius" but when a young Black man does it suddenly he is just lazy.

>laziest fucking rhyme scheme ever
Lol. Just because you can't even recognize great rhyme schemes doesn't mean they don't exist. Both Offset and Takeoff make amazing rhyme schemes

youtube.com/watch?v=e8fTMi3QSOY

Migos' flow is perfect for its context. It's for parties. Triplets over four with low-syllable rhymes, and then a nice chorus from Quavo, that's a perfect groove to get down on the floor.

And by the way don't start to compare that with lyrical miracles rappers, the goal is completely different. The goal of Migos is to make a catchy song that will be played in the club. I don't need to hear no Earl Sweatshirt or MF DOOM type of shit when I'm in the strip-club. The rhyme schemes and rhythm of Migos are perfect for a club.

>Any idiot can chain brand names together on 3 syllables for each beat over the same damn thumping bassline and high-hats every other trap artist is using.
Do it.

Also, I'm sorry but if we want to compare, Run DMC is simply not as good as Migos when it comes to rhyme schemes. Run DMC is literally nursery rhymes-tier. "Peter Piper" WOW AMAZING.

You know nothing about Migos, you only know Versace and BadAndBoujee. Get the fuck out of here.

Anyway, I'm tired of discussions with retards on Yea Forums. I'm going to listen to Konnichiwa and sip tea on my terrace.

Actually the first song after "Get the fuck out of here" was supposed to be this :
youtube.com/watch?v=f1G0LKH-hgU

Rather than the link I posted just after.

Anyway, see you retard

It's like white people are constantly butthurt all the goddamn time they can't go 10 fucking seconds without being racist. Goddamn I can't wait for you crackers to go extinct or be outbreeded or whatever the fuck you white nationalist fucks are so worried about. Yall are the most cancerous group of people on Earth. Srsly just shoot yourself, OP.

>not liking Ms. Jackson

Dang, man. That's just some straight up shit taste right there.

Black people are literally the most racist motherfuckers on the face of the earth.

>"muh triplet"
Watch this retard
youtube.com/watch?v=3la8bsi4P-c

I'm not racist. I just want Jews to convert or face the hoard they created.

>what a problem. They are using triplets over 4. When an old white composer makes triplets over 4 he is a "poly-rhythmic genius" but when a young Black man does it suddenly he is just lazy.
Methinks the zoomer is a bit offended.
I don't listen to any old white composers. And yes it is lazy, because they're all fucking doing it. It was kind of cool when Bone Thugs were doing it but since every damn trap artist is doing it that's just fucking boring. It's unoriginal, that's what it is.

I wouldn't hate Migos so much if they had a little variety, but it's the same damn rhythm in every song. And they're not the only ones who are doing it, trap is obsessed with this shit and that's why the core audience is white children.

>Lol. Just because you can't even recognize great rhyme schemes doesn't mean they don't exist. Both Offset and Takeoff make amazing rhyme schemes
Well then I'd think you could explain it yourself rather than just linking a fucking rapgenius youtube video and dipping out lmao.

This is the kind of shit /pol/tards do to justify their political opinions. "Yeah I'm right. No I won't justify my views, I'll just let Ben Shapiro do it". The genius of this is you can't really reply to the video unless you want to sit through it taking notes and then post your critique, which is an order of magnitude more effort than just posting the video.

>Migos' flow is perfect for its context. It's for parties. Triplets over four with low-syllable rhymes, and then a nice chorus from Quavo, that's a perfect groove to get down on the floor.
In other words it's for inebriated zoomers who are paying next to no attention to the music and can't really dance so it's convenient for them that every single song the club plays follows the same rhythm with ultra exaggerated basslines so they know when to move.

It's perfectly fine to have silly party music that isn't meant to be taken seriously. But I'm totally opposed to this fusion of party tunes and advertising.

>Do it.
Mercedes, Micky D's, Chucky Cheese
Migos give companies free publicity
Niggos could read more poetry
user should cease his faggotry

Wow such genius, where's my grammy?

>Also, I'm sorry but if we want to compare, Run DMC is simply not as good as Migos when it comes to rhyme schemes. Run DMC is literally nursery rhymes-tier. "Peter Piper" WOW AMAZING.
It's you who brought up Run-DMC, bro. And I don't know why you got such a hate boner for them, anyway. It's mediocre grandad rap that is mainly interesting not for anything to do with the music but just the mere fact it broke to the mainstream.

Hip hop today is better than it has ever been

>Mercedes, Micky D's, Chucky Cheese
>Migos give companies free publicity
>Niggos could read more poetry
>user should cease his faggotry
That's the least catchy thing I have ever read in my life LMAO. Now spit it on this beat and post the result on Vocaroo, I want to hear your bad, groove-less delivery :
youtube.com/watch?v=ooXW7w9PZTI

Most Rappers just do 16ths. How is that better than using triplets in your verse? You just don't like it but have no objective reason to.

Okay.

But I'll only do it if you rap over this
youtube.com/watch?v=VCOz9-ckU_I
I'll go first but if you pussy out then you've basically admitted I'm a better rapper than you so you automatically lose the argument.

Ok. I'm creating a tripcode in case a bitch nigga tries to impersonate me.

Good idea

Back in a few

vocaroo.com/i/s0WA9BVmxHsh

Finished, extended it to 16 bars. Took me a couple of takes, rapping it was actually a lot harder than just writing it.

Ok. I wrote the lyrics and I scatted them over the instrumental. I could record now, however I'm in public and if I do it people around me will start to ask weird questions.

So can you please wait until I'm in a safe recording environment? Thanks.

Yeah okay

>the migos fag itt defending the most blatant industry plants to ever be manufactured
cringe

I'm a rap head and even I know that Jim Reeves song sucks. Why not play popular blue grass music of that time, or a faster tempo song, like youtube.com/watch?v=ewtB8GPqWLw
