the problem isn't that it never gets discussed, it's that when it is it's just the same 20 albums getting posted over and over again

an unironic answer: deathrock

Is this the thread where we give hilarious ironic answers ?

Yeah, god forbid discover anything but rock, rap or waifupop here

There's plenty of metal that gets posted but it's all extreme death black thrash satan metal and barely any power, progressive, symphonic metal ever gets mentioned.

Anything dismissed as fedoracore because of their fanbase

Screamo. Everyone likes talking about midwest emo, but no one gives a fuck about screamo

screamo, metalcore, post-hardcore that is post 2010. There were some real gems there and all you faggots wanna do is boom bap.

Actual folk and world music. Not talking about Devendra Banhart or Paul Simon, for example.

Microhouse

Country
Reggae
I like Johnny Cash, John Denver, and Marty Robbins andybody got more recs?

Townes Van Zant if you want some depressing music that's in that similar veign. Kurt Vile is a pretty good "alt-country" singer who's influenced by alt-rock bands like Sonic Youth. I can't find it now but there used to be an alt-country playlist on Spotify that had a lot of great songs and artists on it. One song I really liked was 'Never Be Ourselves' by Savannah Conley.

Anyone have a link to some neoclassical darkwave?

just go on rym

Merle Haggard

not op but i think trap rap has redefined the word

I wish twee pop got more traction here. Even when there are twee pop threads they barely get any replies.
