Alright Yea Forums, i need some advice. I'm gonna be 22 in November and I've never been part of a legitimate workplace, I've only ever done freelance work. I've actually got no idea how to go about getting a job, especially at 22 with no prior workplace experience. I hate being a fucking NEET, but who would actually hire me? What should i do Yea Forumsros?

SUP NIGS WHO’S SUKIN COCK TONITE??
Become an electrician. Most cities will pay you to become an apprentice electrician and they're almost always in short supply. Solid work that pays well
>go to any factory that does anything
>get hired as the shittiest job & get promoted for your hard work
>make money and buy cool things
>die
SUCK COCK AND BECUM PRESIDENT!
Thats funny. I am 26 and also have never had a legit job. I have had to file taxes, but I've never filled out an application. I have only done part time on call and freelance and I sucked a cock tonight. The coincidences are stunning.
If you've got no ambition when you're 22,
what the hell kinda loser are you going to be at 37??
Yeah we know,
He wants to get a job and he has self employed experience. How is that no ambition? A burger flipping job just to have work history is not better.
how about you get off the drugs you junkie whore
Hot
Lack of ambition isn't my problem, it's the fact that I'm almost certain nobody's out there looking to hire people with no actual workplace experience.

>How is that no ambition?
4 years living as an "adult" but doing jack shit with your life.
Okay, a few things come to mind:
Establish and document your creds. Ask for letters of reference from your contract gigs. Become a regular volunteer in an area of interest and let it be known you're looking for full-time work (you never know who knows who, and if you make a good impression you'd be surprised how willing people are to make the connect). Get a professional to review your resume, even if that means paying for it. If you're a college grad, contact their career center --- they love alums. Shave. Pay for your shirts to be laundered and pressed. If you're American, consider something like jobcorps or AmeriCorps as a started (some programs even offer housing assistance). Control your drinking / substance use. Take a class (check out what's free on Craigslist) or join a community group --- meet as many people as you can. You don't need to be a social genius, just genuine, likable, reliable. Stay positive. Good luck.
walk into any restaurant in any town or city in any country
say you want to be a dishwasher
congratulations, you're employed
I have debilitating Bipolar that has gone untreated for years with no disability or benefits. It's hard for me to even go shopping most days. I studied a trade and I have prior experience, but I don't know how to look for a job and I have inconsistent work history. I smoke pot but it's honestly losing it's appeal. You don't have to be an asshole about it. I'm honestly making progress on my mental health.
same. 24, self-employed with a college degree. employers don't care. as long as you aren't fucking retarded, have any relecant experience, and learn quickly you'll be fine.
He’s not wrong though
>Paying to ask for a job.
That's such crap it's hard to wrap my mind around. It's fucked up that that's a thing.
OP here. Mental health problems are hell, I'm glad you're making progress. Keep going strong, user.
Depends what you want to do. You can easily work retail or a slow paced warehouse job if you are white and have no felonies with no work experience.
Dilate.
>be me
>be 18
>be NEET
>No experience
>go find me job in town
>Warehouse work, works for me
>Don't know shit
>Sperg out during the interview
>Get hired on
>Now I drive a cyber cargo chariot (EPJ)
>Pic related
Moral of the story is it's easy to find work if you don't mind what your gonna be doing.
Straight out of highschool I started stagehanding. It's on call as need work so hours are shit. Live with my mom. I have been hospitalized 4 times. First time was during my second semester at college persuing a career in engineering and it completely derailed my education. I couldn't get medical leave and had to pay the semester while forfeiting the credits. I finally paid it off like 4 years later and then I went back to school but went for trade in construction instead. I have worked for my dad in contruction for a long time and I've even found some work in the field for other people and contracted out a few gigs. My family and I have done major renovations on every house we have ever lived in so I figured it would be a good trade to put on paper. I graduated with cum laude. The certificate covered wood shop, interior and exterior finishing, framing, concrete and forms, and trim. I have been doing random gigs since, while searching for work. Some of which was apprentice work under an electrician. I have never had a car or a drivers license. I went out of town to work for a month for someone who promised good pay and he ended up only paying 500 which I spent to get home (it was far). Since then I have been pretty depressed. The thing is I don't just want a job. I want a career. I could lead a job if given the chance. Most jobs that I'm "qualified" for are general labor but I really want to get my foot in the door in skilled labor. My people skills suck. I just want to make pretty stuff like cabinets or something and not have to deal with people too much, but my resume sucks because of my mental health past. The thing is I do care what I do next. I have collected some tools along the way. Just because I don't have consistent work history and haven't ever filled out application doesn't mean I am an idiot who sat on my hands ever since highschool. I'm pretty scared because 30 is just around the corner and I have no idea where to turn next.
suck cock
That’s your answer for everything dad
Ironically, I did, this very evening.
This guy has never held a real job or does not deserve the job he's at because that is not how it's done anymore. I'm a mechanical engineer that watches young guys come in and just get juggled from one worthless post to the next.
>I've only ever done freelance work.
hey retard. The above translates to "deleted malware from grandma's computer for $10"
you horrible cunt
tfw just graduated with ME degree and looking for work without prior experience. The start is rough.
>looking for work without prior experience.
If you're saying you didnt do an internship then yeah it's gonna be rough. But not having work experience before college isn't a deal breaker at all.
I mean, I get it. Places want people with applied skills. Just wish there was a reliable way to get those skills early on after graduation. Building connections at the moment. I hear those can be invaluable.
As a service to any NEET's in here. I'll clarify that joining a factory will mean you will be out competed by nepotism for your entire life. It is MUCH better to join a small workshop to gain skills before joining the big dogs without skills.
