How do I lose like 30 lbs by Halloween?

I lost 90 lbs in a school year my sophomore year of college. I’ll tell you how.

I mean I get that, and for the past week I’ve been able to keep my calories below 1500 on MyFitnessPal

But I just need some guidance. Or at least want to know if 30 lbs by Halloween, I’m 230 is feasible

You’re not gonna lose 30 pounds by Halloween, but if you get the weight watchers app and stick to it strictly (no cheating whatsoever), you might lose 20-25 by thanksgiving. Seriously.

Absolutely feasible, just keep the deficit (but eat healthy food) take a multivitamin to be safe. Exercise self control to avoid junk food (carbs, simple sugars etc..) and weight falls off. Losing weight is actually pretty easy, people just like eating shit food

Keto, it's so easy to lose weight. The hard part is carb avoidance.

Did this and I’m actually seeing some genuine improvement, it’s slow but I’m losing weight.

It is quite slow though, but cutting out all sugary drinks like soda helps a ton.

You can lose 30 pounds by Halloween by going on Keto, but that can be too difficult for some people. Less than 20g carbs a day and cut our sugar completely. You don't even need to workout.

Agreed. Since late January, I've lost 62lbs by consuming between 1000 and 1300 calories a day. Still doing this, cuz I wanna lose about 15 more.

I finally found out, about three months into dieting, that a deficit below 1200 is technically starving. Since then, I've been leaning towards that 1200 cap.

This might not be the halloween. Maybe next year though 30 pounds is quite a lot and this is coming from someone with malabsorbtion and loses 5 pounds every 3 days. Im rooting for you, OP!

Cut out sodas which are a big source of unnecessary sugar. Keto. Get up, walk or work out. Even if you aren't good now, each time only builds up your endurance more. And: EGGS. eggs are a fucking saving grace

Don't plan on losing any more than 2lbs of fat per week. That's a 1000 Calorie per day deficit.

Halloween is about 9 weeks away, so realistically you could lose about 18 pounds, but that's assuming you average -1000 calories per day. Figure out what your basal metabolic rate is, eat 400 Calories less than that per day, and do an hour of vigorous cardio every single day. You'll lose two pounds per week doing that. To lose 30 pounds in that time you'd need to increase your caloric deficit by over 50%. Frankly, that's not realistic. You could do two hours of cardio per day every day and get to -1600 Calories, but at that point you're going to feel like shit all the time and you're probably looking at muscle loss too.

You ought to be more realistic about it. Plan on getting in shape over the course of a year. Consider that it's a life style change and that you need to not just lose weight, but to change your diet, and to put on muscle. Learn about nutrition, learn about resistance training and cardio, practice eating a balanced diet. Make changes you can maintain over your life not a crash diet.

I have also done that, no sweets except for two pieces of coconut candy today for the past week
Well for now it’s a bit harder, but I’m hoping my urges for food will slowly go away

/fit/ bro here if you have shit cardio walk a mile or run after every run throw ice packs on your far Area for 35-40 minutes continuous. Had a lot of chest fat like you and I would put ice packs under my arms after a run. To freeze the fat and turn it into brown fat to burn easier ... just start walking even if it’s just down the street and you’ll take off from there just get your ass walking download a calorie burning app so you can count calories. Don’t worry about eating healthy just count your calories and stay below 2000

On Keto, you CAN lose 30 in 2 months. I lost 30 on my first two months and 10 more in my 3rd month, then it plateaued at my goal weight. Also, many dairy products have carbs. I highly suggest looking into Keto through YouTube videos that outline it and the types of food that you can eat. I went from 190 to 150 in 3 months due to this diet. Also check out the Keto subreddit for a really helpful community that gives great advice on it.

What happens after keto? If I eat carbs after would I not gain the weight? Or is the point of keto to eat no carbs or limit carbs but build muscle too?

You can safely lose 2 pounds a week. You cannot lose 30 pounds by halloween.

After Keto, you slowly reintroduce carbs back into your system in order to prevent a harsh bounceback. You don't need to workout at all. This is why I believe that diet will always trump working out in terms of effective fat loss. Also, the people saying that you can't safely lose 30 pounds in 2 months are wrong. I'm in the best health I've ever been in. Also, the first 8+ pounds will be water weight that goes quick.

Speaking as somebody who has been in a Keto lifestyle for 5 months, the speed of the weight loss is not unsafe. The point of Keto is to utiilize your fat more effectively. You don't even need a major deficit to lose weight super fast.

What I'm going to do is put you on a 1200 calorie a day, low carb diet. You should easily be able to lose 40 to 70 pounds in a month. Is this something you can do?

drink nothing but water with alittle salt, tea, coffee, no sugar, no food
take a multi vitamin every morning so you dont get scurvy
