I'm a gay single guy and about a year ago my teen nephew moved in with me. When he was 15 he came out as gay and his dad kicked him out and my sister asked me if her son could live with me.
My nephew isn't the kind that gets embarrassed or shy about things and a few months ago he started asking me a lot of questions about sex. Eventually he asked me if I could get him a fleshlight quickshot. I figured he probably saw guys on tube sites using them or might even have seen my fleshjack drying in my bathroom, and I told him I'd think about it. A few days later I went ahead and bought him one along with a fleshjack go.
Should I have done this? When I was 16 I would of given my left arm for one of these things. He seemed pretty excited when I gave it to him and I can only assume he's putting them to pretty good use as for the first couple of days after he barely left his room.

Honestly and genuinely speaking, you should be relieved that he felt comfortable enough to come and ask you over going to someone else. It's definitely an embarrassing subject, and given the situation, could have even been a little risky had he asked anyone else. If and when I have my own kids, I would MUCH rather they felt comfortable enough to come to me as their parent in order to inquire about discussions like these.
