You'll have to wait, because in order to do that you'll need to amend the Constitution. AT present, there is no serious effort underway to do that. Assuming it could be done at all, it can't be done instantly.
So enjoy your wait. You can pass the time by figuring out why the politicians who are in favor of banning guns are not even trying to do the one thing that would allow them to do it -- pass an amendment. One possibility to consider is that they value the issue for fundraising and campaigning more than they want to solve the problem...

the only realistic reason to ban guns is so that its easier to make the US a socialist nation. Its much harder to stop violent response to an encroaching authoritarian regime when the plebs and serfs have access to firearms and the military is likely to side with them
