You'll have to wait, because in order to do that you'll need to amend the Constitution. AT present, there is no serious effort underway to do that. Assuming it could be done at all, it can't be done instantly.

You can pass the time by figuring out why the politicians who are in favor of banning guns are not even trying to do the one thing that would allow them to do it -- pass an amendment. One possibility to consider is that they value the issue for fundraising and campaigning more than they want to solve the problem...
