Same reason why I don't own a Bridgeport milling machine.
Sure, it's macho. But it's expensive, I likely won't use it, I don't know how to use one, don't have time or interest to learn, and more than likely if I DO use it, I'll just end up hurting myself.

LOL, I've never even been close to that situation in nearly 50 years of life, it's likely I never will.
Honestly, I'd be far better off using that $300 in nearly any other way.
