Ok I'll bite, how do I always make it the other guys fault?

Oh its easy they tell you if you felt 2 hits rather than one, then it was the other drivers fault, if you felt only one, then its your fault. If you're dumb enough to answer they put it on official record and deny your claim against them.

There is no always. Give me a scenario.

Your delivering sammiches so high on morphine you're literally drooling on your shirt, you get distracted by a shiny object and rear end a bitch at a red light.

OP Here

Actually the 2 vs 1 impact question when it's from your insurance is to determine the percent negligence (and therefore monetary responsibility) o the two people behind you.

1 impact means 100% negligence of the guy furthest back.

2 means that the guy in the middle did not break either at all, or properly, and therefore would share negligence for the damages to the front-most vehicle.

plot twist the shiny object was the red light

You get into crash you live in no-fault state what do?

so what if youre the rear car and its completely your fault?

Its how they don't have to pay if its a hit and run

OP Here

You said "so high on morphine you're literally drooling on your shirt."

As far as how high you are, if I gave you next-step instruction now on what to do, would this level of high be too far gone to comprehend these instructions?

Pulling out of my driveway slowly and a motorcycle hits the back of my car

OP Here

Would this be at a red light, stop sign, middle of stop-and-go traffic?

Rear end, side swipe, what?

I need details people

Center-rear, or grinds along ur rear?

Oh no, this was a long time ago, no drug charges ever followed, I am what one would call a "high functioning addict"

Solid impact on rear tire and side panel. I live in CA

lets say, stop sign, there's one car at the stop sign and you rear end it

Were the police contacted?

I have some answers, but if you can show me a pic of the tire, I can give much better advice.

Yup

Were police contacted?

If you reach end someone it is almost always you're fault unless you got cut off and brake checked, and even then you'll still be held primarily at fault. They'll say you were likely speeding or not paying attention.

Did you try to evade? If so, left or right?

no it was a minor fender bender and we agreed to exchange information

I can't really do that at the moment, but let me ask you a follow up question. I was considered at fault, my deductible is 1000 bucks. If I find a place that can fix it cheaper than that, can I just cancel the claim and get it removed from my record and/or have it not effect my rates?

Nope.

Well as far as police are concerned you're usually right.

But one of the most common scams is called the "swoop and squat."

It's where someone merges in front of you and slams their breaks for the insurance money. Insurance companies are WELL aware of this scam.

Swerved left, smudged the paint on my right corner, exploded her rear bumper

I've had niggers try to do this to me multiple times. What do I do if I end up hitting one of those monkeys?

Yeah, but it's still the law, no?

>If I find a place that can fix it cheaper than that, can I just cancel the claim and get it removed from my record and/or have it not effect my rates?
Not him but no you can't do that. Once it's reported to the insurance company you're fucked. That's why a lot of people don't report minor fender benders, because it's not worth the insurance hike.

Nope. Most, if not ALL policy contracts require obligation to inform your insurance of ANY incidents with your vehicle. Your insurance company being informed of these incidents is a "claim." Whether you choose to use your coverages to fix your damages is your choice, NOT whether a claim is filed.

Underwriting is the department that thoroughly checks your insurance background. How many accidents you've been in, what you do for a living, how long you've held the same job etc.

What I can say about that is that the DEFINITELY look at whether you made them pay out. So not using your coverages to fix ur car DOES work in your favor as far as payments go. However, if you have a high deductible, this doesn't work in your favor as much, as you are not as much seen as one to fix it yourself as much as you are seen as someone that can't afford their deductible.

Ticket-wise, yes. But there are MANY times the cops find one person "at-fault" where the insurance companies disagree. As far as insurance is concerned, it's all about who owes how much money to whom.

A cop showing up to a fender-bender usually feels like he has better shit to do, and usually makes an off-the-cuff decision. Insurance companies launch a full investigation.

You CAN put the burden of proof on the person you rear-ended if you strike one side of the vehicle, then "pull over out of traffic," and say they merged into your lane with no turn signal. But really sell it.

Well this incident happened like 6 months ago, they mailed me a check but it's been sitting in my glovebox ever since. So if I don't use it then my rates shouldn't really change much? They've been the same since it happened

Yeah but your premiums only change like once every 6 months anyways. If they've already issued you a check it's too late.

Insurance companies look at WAAAY more than your accident history.

They look for signs of responsibility, leadership roles for long periods of time. Or even holding down the same job for a long period of time. If you're in college, tell them you have all A's and B's.

Tell them your car has all the safety features that the most expensive model of your car has. Do NOT tell them about customizations like wraps and lift-kits.

Thanks fam, I'll do this. Not sure if it will really help but it wouldn't hurt to try. Also my car is a lease so I haven't modified it at all beyond poppin an air freshener in and a handful of windows tickers

>. If they've already issued you a check it's too late.
Also to follow up on this, if I do find a place cheaper than my deductible, can I still use the check and pay less than my deductible ?

That's what concealed carry is for.

I wish, but I live in New Jewsey they don't let the peasants conceal carry here

They would sunract ur deductible fromt the check

*subtract i mean

Sunract?

Why the fuck do my insurance rates stay steady even though the value of my car is going down?

Jews

Uh yeah, how do I make it the other guy's fault?

Because fuck you that's why
