Better than average if you don’t have any debt or impending bills you can’t pay

Odds are, you'll still only have $300 to your name when you're a senior citizen.

Enjoy the new American dream.

Get some form of education, skill-set or experience asap. Can't afford college? Take out subsidized loans.

I'm 23 and owe the government $17000 in school loans (not even half done yet) and $2000 on my credit card. Like $200 in my chequings and I think that's normal.

I'm 25 and have a 6.2L Camaro and my own house. You decide for yourself

Don’t have any debts I don’t know anybody a cent.

I’ve been going to CC for 3 years. Almost got enough credits for a liberal arts degree. I was planning to transfer to a 4 year school afterwards because CC was just to save money cause my scho has a good transfer program. Problem is I’m burnt the fuck out by school and don’t know what I want to do. My mental health is fragile and school makes me depressed.

I’m thinking about taking an apprenticeship/trade instead. At least until I figure my shit out.

What’s your story?

Rich parents

>Am I doing better or worse than most people my age?
Better than I was at 23, but at 30 I regret not doing better.

Im 23 and i owe the bank and social security money

Today, you're probably average. 20 years ago and you're much much worse.

No rich parents. Single mom growing up. I've come home from school a handful of times to the electric shutoff. I gave my mom a car at age 23. Hard work pays off even without college. I work 6 days a week as well driving a semi and operating have equipment

I will say that I got lucky. A new business opened and I was the first employee. Got promoted to command fairly quick. The only person above me was the owner of the company. I used that on job resumes ever since. I've been promoted to management within a year at every job since

Beat the shit out of me at 23. I had $300 for about 5 minutes every payday.

Same, but at about 27, but without the gay car. That was 16 years ago. This shit ain't that hard, just go to fucking work and stop buying waifu figurines and stupid video games. And weed, knock that highschool shit off.

This. College is a meme. Im 39 and a trade in todays environment is definitely the way to go. Learn a good trade at 20, become management by 30 and ride a desk and move up until you retire.

I laugh at dumb kids racking themselves with tremendous debt before theyre 25 only to get a job that pays 35k a year. Meanwhile, theres no real competition from younger ppl for me in my field so Im coasting making a very decent living.

21 2k no debts

>$300 to my name
kek, my 15-year old son makes more than you.

22 and about 26000€ . Hussle nearly all time & no time for private stuff.

I'm 22 and have approximately 10k in savings. I also have 50k in debt, so I have -40k in total. You're doing better than me at least.

Attached: IMG_20190720_122339.jpg (750x444, 55K)

Debts? What the fuck are debts? Who has money after rent, food and utilities?

I'm almost 26M. No job. No studies. No money. I live with my parents. Poor family. Less 10K year income. You have a great life user.

Not a gay car lmao. The convertible part may be a bit gay, but hey, the wife likes it. Getting that mofo over 100mph in 3rd gear is no joke though. Still have 3 more gears to go

It kills me how college kids think they're better. Better at what? Racking up debt till you're 60?

I actually decided I want to die.

$300 doesn't say much, what's your cash flow like? I make minimum wage but spend little and live with family so I'm achieving at least the minimum for now but have good savings

Im 30 i have A 100 $ plus to my name but i will catch you at 300$ in a year and a half

>the wife likes it
I was gonna say, all "muscle cars" these days are bitch cars.

Attached: 18n3hax15kgmojpg.jpg (960x540, 615K)

I read this as $26 Million at first

Yeah. Behind the smugness is sadness. Theyll be competing with pajeets and whatever low wage 3rd world college graduate their company hires from some shithole and younger morons that bought the college meme for the rest of their worthless lives.

start saving 10% of your earnings no matter what cut expenses where you can like shit food. start a savings account, buy stocks little by little even if they are shit with low dividends as long as the cost of the share is relatively low. keep at it with time learn what compound interest is and keep that going even on your lowest times/broke by the time you are 32 you will see it it s benefits once your 50s you got your own retirement going or emergency change and will probably keep you from being homeless when you are old ass fuck and no one wants to hire you.

I make $200-250 every two weeks. $400-500 a month. I try to save money but somehow my account always ends up short.

Tbh that's pretty normal these days

Hard to say "bitch car" when it does 0-60 in a little over 4 seconds. I will say that the mustang's and any dodge/Chrysler are bitch cars. Unless we're talking the hellcat of course. That fucker rolls

Dude, you make 100-125 bucks a week. Goddamn, i piss that a week.

Better than most minorities
Better than most people on this board
Worse than me (even though my life fucking sucks)
Worse than western average

I know, it’s literally shit. I have friends who are delivery drivers and they make at least 100 in a DAY

Doesn't matter how fast it goes. Just look at who drives them. All women. The only exception is the Corvette and those are owned by old broke fags and 17 year old Indians.

Haven't seen a woman drive one yet. Tried to teach the wife, and I made her get out after 10min. It's a 6speed manual. I HAVE seen a woman drive the auto version though.

You don't have any student loans or debt, so I'd say you're doing fine. Only a few years of good spending habits and you can save up quite a bit if you don't have debt to worry about. Budget smart, eat cheap and well, etc

Dude you sound like a boomer. Muh fast car and women.

Proud of it man. I worked hard for it. I didn't work hard for the wife though lmao

If you don’t owe money and aren’t in debt you’re not in a bad place at all

Same guy, I've gained some respect for you. At least you own who you are. Regardless of what I think of a person I can't help but respect them when they own it.

What goodpaying trades do you recommend for someone who’s almost retarded? Something that anyone can do. Don’t want to go plumbing and suck ass at it. I suck at things. ADHD and learning disability. Thanks.

You don't have ADHD you're just a faggot
Learning disability?
Either retarded or not trying hard enough

Idk
I just wanted to say that

Lol false

im 29 jobless with 0 things to my name and live with my mother which she pays for my everyday needs like food, electricity, water, internet
im a human parasite....so yea you are doing better than some

Worse.
18 here with £400 to my name. $482.31.

(Not taking into account my earnings, just what I have atm)

At least use that extra time to learn a trade skill. There's a ton of resources online to learn from. Choose a skill, study it, learn it, and market yourself. You got this man, it's never too late to change.

“The strongest force in the universe is a human being living consistently with his identity.”

i have study to operate medical imagine machines, like x-rays and CTs and MRI, cant find a job in this field at all cause they prefer women
because fucking women when you tell them to take off their bra to take an x-ray think you gonna perv on them....go figure

i hate working in service industry in everything, as a waiter or a delivery guy or making food for people, so jobs like these are out of the question, i dont have anything for people who work in this jobs, its just that they are not for me

i have learned how to use autocad a bit cause i liked to design buildings and stuff as a hobby

still a parasite though

Go on
I'm shipping soon for boot camp and would love to hear how beneficial the army can be
Tips/advice for an 18 year old kid?

My kid is 21 lives and works in Hawaii gets paid 25k year. Free room and board.

Literally anyone can drive a semi. Not many people can drive a semi and operate super heavy equipment though. I reccomend driving for Swift. They'll get your CDL, and all you'll have to do it hold the steering wheel while jamming to Upchurch. OTR may be great for you btw. You'll get out and see the states, maybe meet a woman, or man, I dont judge. Just dont wear flip flops

Depends. Do you have a job? Did bills destroy you? Last month I went from 15k to 310 dollars cause my car decided to fuck me.

Covert that to US and I went from about 3k to 50 dollars.

But got paid and I'm ok now but those weeks before payday were tight.

Just budget and save and you can do this shit.

You made a huge mistake my man. Get ready for the Shark Attack. I'll always have respect for any service member, however all service men I know regret joining. They're all fantastic soldiers, some EOD, some rangers, some even blood thirsty marines and snipers. But you'll regret it.

Id say worse, being that you are basing the entirety of how well you are doing/self worth on your bank account, seems you have a lot to figure out about being happy

Worst advice ever.

Sounds about right

Same dude. I'm 31. Got about 10k useless debt. 600 credit score. Want to get the score up, buy some properties and invest.

7 years working went from 0$ to 48000$ working 50hours a week not paying for food nor bills living in my car and still am next year moving to Europe to get away from family

Listen to drill sergeants and volunteer for everything
Learn soldiers creed
Make sure you're fit and are able to pass PT test
run a 15:20 2 mile at least and 50 push ups
But the best advice is taking a gaming laptop with a 1TB one drive to keep all your important documents and photos/videos
Take a water bottle (metal) and one pair of nice civi clothing (comfortable)
Get strong prior to leaving
Make sure you have a bonus and you pick a job that will benefit you after the army
I am shit out of look for MOS since I don't get shit and choose a 3 year contract not 4

How the fuck can you have that little money to your name? Blow it all on shit you don't need and get yourselves into debt or something?

God dammit
I chose infantry
Anything that could come out of that?
I have no bonus

Anything else?
Things to stay away from?
I'm not a fag so definitely will stay away from homosexuals and apparently there are slags there so
Not interested in STDs you know?

Fucking lol rip
Did you swear in and sign off on choosing 11B? you can still request to change it at meps and ask for a bonus

Dont be a shitbag dont be lazy and try to act like a leader

Army is the most homoerotic career there is my friend

Also try not to get hurt but if you're deadass hurting go to sick call
it all feels like a prison and it'll never end, but it will
just remember what you signed up for
also if your hurt and it seems permanent report it and get it treated for free until you get out then claim VA

Yeah
I'm an 11x1
I already swore in man
What would that mean?
How do go about for bonus?

No homosex for me
If any dude tries anything gay with me I'll fuck him up

No. There are 0 civilian jobs outside of infantry except for security/bouncer/cop

It'll be good for you though. Harden you up

it's too late since you swore in to do infantry
but don't worry once you're 2/3 of your way from your contract you can re-enlist to do another MOS for 3 years and immediately leave to start training for MOS

Also the change from civ to military is hard you're going to have to be there for other bros crying missing family or just nearly losing it, but be there for them. Enjoy it. It's hell but it's also fun and depending on your DS and SDS It might be fun

OH DUDE
Take like strawberry cough drops and sell them for a dollar EACH and take fire guard shifts for 10 dollars at least

learn a bldg trade, electrician, carpentry, plumbing, wood working saws tools,, need money? pack a bookbag with food juice coffee work gloves spare chg of socks,,,, in plastic stiff folder include a one pager employment qualifications brief,a few copies a dozen copies if they fit,pen sm notebook, the cellph, visit construction tracts, or a minimall under construction, some guy out there needs help carrying materials, backing up the truck where he guides it, watch equipment while he goes out to buy yerass lunch.

don't act high speed like that (super energetic)
Don't
Request transfer to unit that is deploying soon
Odds are you will deploy
I won't or it don't seem like i will since I joined a shitty unit in NY
No married and I get more pay since im married for living expenses aside from my own which is literally non since I invest 80% of my income

Attached: 1526547016497.jpg (290x364, 24K)

Invest?
Into what? Hopefully all goes well army man user bro
You sound cool

Mutual funds with no buy/sell fees. Use them as a savings account that isn't shit. Active trading is a bad idea since you'll be getting raped on transaction fees since you'll be making small trades.

But there is also a thing provided by the army called "tsp"
and it's like a 401k and they match up to 5%
take advantage of that free money
If it wasn't for my wife I would stay in for 20 years for the pension
but army ruins relationships so i dont wanna stay in

>planning to transfer to a 4 year school
Years from now you'll realize how much money you lost by wasting your time like this. Transfer now, grind out your bachelors and get your career started before you loose more time

I make 500-600$ a month, small savings jar of tips from work and end of the world savings/invest chest of silver, maybe half a lbs.
Parasite on elderly family member, pays for bills, need to at least get a better job but, that stagnation life is hard to get out of, weed and booze habit doesnt help either, but papa needs his soma.

Not bragging just stating. 23 with $9000 to my name. Planning to hike the pct. work more. I work 75 hrs a week and budget to achieve the money goal I want to hike this trail with $17000

I'm 28 have about $2,500

Only debt is my house I owe about 78,000

P.S 25/M. Trying to make cheap wine/hooch off of YT to try and save a little extra, probably should just kick the habit tho.

Just STFU and do what you are told the way you are told.

Is this $300 after expenses + debt? If so yeah you're comfy
even better if you don't have debt

You gotta be shitting me.
