Um...properly stored they will last at least 50 years. I'm currently shooting shitty russian surplus 7.62x54R from the 1970s with zero issues and modern US made ammo is much, much higher quality.

No. Buy aussie milsurp ammo, it's sealed and steel cored. Also store guns not just buried in a burlap bag and you should be fine
