I’ve done some prepping, mainly stockpiling weapons and ammo as well as food, cooking gas and bottled water so I can defend my house for about 6 months before venturing out. Also have some window shields that can be put in place in just under an hour should the need arise.

Buy a good book on amazon (get this shit: amazon.com/Survival-Medicine-Handbook-Guide-When/dp/0988872536) and a big ass medical kit full of everything, a shitload of bandages, antiseptic, gauze tape, everything. I bought this book and it literally has every fucking remedy in the world.

Best advice is take a Red Cross first aid class. Check your local red cross. Basic stuff like gauze, bandages, a good quality tourniquet, nitrile gloves, CPR mask, etc are all good to have on hand.

You can buy animal grade antibiotics from pet stores online. They'll work on people. Download some pdfs detailing which ones to use for different infections so you dont accidentally nuke your immune system and get yourself killed

The food I rotate through every few years, I end up giving it to homeless people before it expires and getting new stuff. I would not worry about nk, at least not directly. There is no way they are going to get a nuke to us within the next decade. That said, a war in the Korean peninsula would be a humanitarian crisis that would impact the world, and could escalate to the point where more competent nations might go nuclear against us.

Economies do not halt during or after war, and the U.S. is the world's largest economy. Silicon Valley and Wall Street, or even your local warmart doesn't care if their tax check goes to Washington or Moscow, as long as the trains run on time.

That said, a war with the U.S. will absolutely turn into a protracted war because of the oceans. It's a hard country to invade so the economy would likely collapse in the years that it would take to win.

But there is still very little tactical reasons to bomb a city early on.

Thats not really true faggot. There are two ways to get radiation sick. First is from a single high exposure. The second is from cumulative exposure. They're not even mutually exclusive. But low enough doses spaced out over enough time won't kill you. Maybe shorten your life. But in a post nuclear war scenario, you're not likely making it past 50 or 60, or whatever age the body really slows down.

I disagree. The most important thing with radiation is distance. Radiation levels fall off with the square of distance (1/rad^2) meaning that double the distance from a source and its 1/4 the rad, 3x 1/9th, and so on. No amount of a shielding is going to protect you from fast neutrons. Just not gonna happen. Not unless you live under a swimming pool or lake or something. Actually living under a body of water in a fall out shelter isn't a bad idea. Water blocks gamma's and neutrons bretty good.

Assuming I survived the initial volleys, I'd try to seal up my car as best I could with duct tape or whatever, cover myself up with light clothes/coveralls lined with tin foil, and a dust mask/respirator, and just get as far away as possible. Bring many changes of clothes to cover up again and again. Just go around any of the really hot spots with a GM counter. Barring have a detector, just stay away from debris and blown down buildings. Get out of the area before the dust literally settles on the ground.

Primary source of long term damage from fall out is getting alpha emitting particles in your blood and guts. If you don't breathe any radioactive dust in, get any on your clothes, etc the steel in the car will shield you at least as good as drywall. Distance will help you avoid long term damage. And any ventures outside the vehicle will require a fresh set of clothes. Ditch the car whenever the gas runs out. Current vehicle will get me about 400-500 miles on its 20gal tank. Another 10-20 in the trunk in cans, and I'm well far away.
