What should i bring for my first camping trip?
What should i bring for my first camping trip?
case of beer and some weed
A bottle of whiskey, wood and used oil to get the fire started.
Boyscouts
and lube
Seriously. Looking to actually have a non-negative-experience. Maybe marshmallows and the best tent?
non perishable food
Also, my eight year old niece will be with me, so nothing too creepy.
A scooter and your credit card, so you can get a hotel when you decide it sucks.
fiancee says; tooth brush, extra water bottles, instant oatmeal, a cooler, a outdoor cooker, um, peanut butter, food you like and oh toothbrush, trash bags
Bring Nudie Magazines. No cell reception, so you’ll need something to fap to if you get bored of your 8 year old niece
Post pics of your niece
Bring a stick. You can always use a good stick.
for your first trip dont overthink it.
take a tent, sleeping bag, beer, weed, some food (can go with just ready-to-eat pre-packaged shit if you dont want to screw around with cooking on a campfire or stove).
at the end of the trip, write down what you wish you had and pack it next time. next time you go out leave behind shit you didnt need or use.
just to be safe, take a basic first aid kit and maybe tell a few people where you're going & when you expect to be back.
Whoopee Cushion, a torque wrench and a jar of capers
LSD or mushrooms.
A Ginsu Knife
fpbp
A few botteles of water, maybe juice and a sleeping bag.
Food is also recommended, maybe bread, bilk, cereal and stew in cans
how long do u ve to walk, how long r u gonna stay n whats the weather?
A good headlamp. Fuck it, bring two. Spent lots of time outdoors, including living in a tent for 10 months. Headlamps have been the tool I'm most thankful for.
1. Tent (make sure you asemble it previously so you know how to set it up and that there are no missing pieces, since i asume you don't own one
2. Sleeping bags
3. Water
4. Food you can throw into the bonfire wrapped in alluminum (potatoes, onions, mushrooms, etc). If you are only camping for one night take one of those iron grills, so you won't have to carry a stove + propane/butane and you can cook meat/sausages or some soup. Also make smores, your nice will love them.
4. MULTIPURPOSE KNIFE - can't stretch this enough.
4.1 Flint if you know how to use it, or waterproof matches.
5. Personal higene items (toilet paper and soap might be the most important).
6. Basic kitchen utensils (plate, knife/fork, mug)
7. First aid kit (alcohol, adhesive bandages, gauze, antiseptic, sterile wipes and rinse solutions. pain and anti-inflammatory medicine. hydrocortisone cream. tweezers). Trust me: it's better to have it and not need it.
8. Lamp (a miner's head lamp works best for me cause your hands are free).
Check the weather conditions of where you're going. If there's a chance of rain, take a tarp and cover your socks with plastic bags inside your shoes. If it's going to be hot and humid, expect bugs so take bug repellent
BE SAFE: Don't wander off if you don't know where you're going, and "tell a few people where you're going & when you expect to be back."
Don't get high or drunk if you're alone with your niece. Too much responsibility and you want to/have to be 100% aware.
>>Source: been a scout since I was 6.
Yup 2 much lube is an impossiblyties
When are you going, and what do you already have to bring?
What weather are you expecting, and what kind of terrain?
Sorry for my bad english - not my native tongue. Here's a picture of my dog drinking water
You really have to give the fiance credit? They have that much a stranglehold over your balls, mate?
Just you and your niece? People will already think that's creepy though
Define "camping".
Are you going to a campground?
Are you heading off trail into the wilds of Alaska?
6 watermelons and a gallon of vodka
watch a tutorial about how to pack ur stuff, u can save tons of space by simply not folding ur clothes and forcing it into dead spaces, everything goes inside the backpack, nothing hangin, it gets u out of balance and tired, and heavy stuff on the center or top never bottom.
bring rope just in case and if u dont ve a good idea about how to set up a tent set it up with at least an hour b4 sunset.
Some wet wipes on a ziplock do better than soap by the way.
