You cannot say that you care about children and endorse and support abortion at the same time.
If you support abortion after the first trimester, you support murder. There is no other way around it. If a man were to attempt to kill his unborn child without the mother's consent (or even with it) he would be charged for murder. Therefore the legal precedence is already there that a human fetus is given legal personhood. Ergo, as a person, a fetus has bodily autonomy rights which would supercede the autonomy rights of the mother. There is no justification at all to allow a mother to kill her unborn child but charge the father with murder. You cannot grant the fetus personhood status in the cases where the father was the reason for the unborn child's demise, and then consider the unborn child a nonperson when it comes to the mother. Such a double standard is not only glaring but exceptionally foolish to allow to stand.

If the government wants to step in and outlaw abortion then they need to invest more money and resources into unwanted baby facilities.
