I've been invaded by a varmint and my cat is being useless. I've seen it twice tonight and attempted to hurl a knife at it to no success. Next time I'm tossing a 25lb dumbbell or just shooting the fucker. Any other tips?

Glue boards or mouse/rat traps, peanut butter is your friend and keep the traps against the wall as those dirty shits usually travel by walls. Set up several and wait a couple days, if no results buy a few more and spread out. Avoid using poison, they eat it and hide in the walls just to expire and make your house smell like shit. Catching rodents is a fun game, good luck op.

Have traps set but it dodges them all. Cocky bastard has actually been eating from my cat's food bowl. After making this thread, I remembered I have a BB gun. Now I'm just playing the waiting game.

Feed your cat but when the cat is done, empty the bowl. Provide no opportunity for the fucker. Have any traps you set gone off? How many are you using?

Quite a few traps set. Usually out of place so said cat doesn't get into them. None have went off. But yeah.. Been using one of those auto feeders. Haven't had an issue for years with it until now.

Bait with pb and some cat food. Your having a cat kinda limits trap placement options. I've had good luck even with unbaited traps just putting em where they run. Can anyone take your cat a few days? Also it won't stop the cat but I've had success making a shitty enclosure of sorts over the trap, so they're more inclined to scurry through instead of go around. Good luck, don't get the plague

And if rat bites you, pay very close attention to any symptoms you get. If you're lucky you might notice you're dying of something horrible before you actually die.

OTOH, if its rabid, as soon as symptoms show up you're fucked.
