Also, the strategy is fucking retarded. After all the battle's they've been in they think the best possible strategy is sending the entire cavalry on a suicide mission. How about you bombard the fuckers for a good 20-30 minutes, keep the center phalanx as a wall, and have the cavalry come in at the flanks to soften between the phalanx wall and bombardment of arrows/trebuchets. The dragons could also keep softening the far end beyond the bombardment line. This strategy would allow the phalanx to slowly pull back behind the fire line once the arrows and trebuchets run low. The cavalry is quick moving and their retreat could be on the other side of Winterfell. Also, if the NK felt Winterfell would be a sure victory why doesn't he stay out of the battle? He could single-handedly fly down to Kingslanding and take the entire city himself. His officers could easily imprison/kill Bran.

what I don't like is when shows start to fucking deviate or become inconsistent or fall victim to lazy writing only to hit some sort of diversity or feminism quota, it throws everything off and makes the entertainment aspect turn to shit, fantasy allows you to suspend your disbelief but typically there are boundaries within each fantasy that are set out, when a writer sets those imaginary boundaries and then later breaks them, it creates inconsistencies that ruin the immersion for the people watching/being entertained

I was so dissapointed. They been hyping up the white walkers from the first episode of the show just to end it in the lamest cliche way possible. NK did totally nothing except for throwing one spear and staring all the time. His undead army was so underrated as well. There was only one undead giant and the rest of the white walkers were world war z tier outside the walls but weak slow walking cunts in the scenes with main characters. And of course the main characters were Immortal beasts with unlimited stamina. neither of them should be good strategists. jons a good leader but he hasnt done anything that wasnt common sense regarding any battle for the nightswatch. the only battle with some wiggle room for him strategically was the battle against ramsay and he played into a trap. and dany just had the dragons, grey worm ,ser jorah, dothraki guy along with a few legendary mercenaries iirc. she could give the broad strokes of her goals and leave the actual details to the vets.
