What the fuck should I do with my life, Yea Forumsros?

>checking out prisoners foreskin for contraband part...
Dude, how many fucking grams of whatever can you fit inside of the limited amount of space of your foreskin? Who the fuck would do drugs who sat on someone’s warm and smelly dick for god knows how much time

Dude Norway and Canada are 2 different countries
Norway has been rated one of the place with the best life conditions and overall happiness
There has to be something way more to it than their prison system
Here the culture is so homogenous on top of being right next to the USA, there’s alot of elements at play here

Lol if you're stuck in prison for a long time, you're seen and treated as the worst of the worst, bottom of society scum with no prospect of improving, you'd probably do anything to get high and forget all of that for a bit.

Meant to say heterogeneous*

Fair enough
First thing i thought was that said dude was bringing it to make some cash by selling to inmates
Therefore why i posted my comment

Absolute, to be fair I forgot you were based in Canada. Yeah there's far more to it than the prison system, but their changes to their prison system is what has changed the rehabilitation rate. They have proven that you can drastically improve rehabilitation rates. I'm not saying that's something within one correctional officer's remit, though, it's a far bigger thing that would require not just a change in the entire system, but public opinion too.

You're right.

So what's the plan OP? Oh btw, do you have a mortgage yet? You certainly saved that 20k for something.

Not bad for someone who has a “fried as fuck brain”? ;p
Seriously tho, yeah, some kind of paradigm shift in the public opinion sure could have some kind of positive outcomes but think more efficiently than public opinion
Direct action
If we would have rehabilitation programs, or anything of that sort that helps inmates to be able to get back in the job market upon coming out, then that’d be a great leap but we already burn hundreds of millions/year for all the inmates so rehab programs would just add up more to the debt

I wasn't involved in the fried brain thing.

>rehab programs would just add up more to the debt

But there's a huge ROI possible there, these people come out and get very few jobs. If they're involved in any economy, it's usually the underground economy, cash in hand jobs or illegal jobs. Rehabilitate and you'll get better people coming out, and they'll get a better reputation which will encourage more people to hire ex offenders and we'll get more economic output from a hugely underutilised group of people.

The amount of income they can generate with a bit of help is huge. It's wasted on the things they end up having to do like sell drugs and shit.

Also changing to a more rehabilitative kind of correctional institute is cheaper. With kindness and space, you need less staff to keep the prisoners in line because they're not as fucking mad because they're being treated like humans. You get fewer people coming back because they actually improved enough to get their lives in order, so you have fewer people coming in costing the taxpayer dramatically less.

Rehabilitation is the economically sound choice. Other types of prison systems, such as the punitive ones common across the globe, are ruled by emotion, an urge to not just lock these people up but give them a terribly hard time on top of that. The locking up isn't the sole punishment, it's just the start. It's kind of sick.
