If it doesn’t works then put it back to where it was . If that doesn’t work then reset the bios settings to default by removing the button battery for few mins and power cord. Why are u messing with it in the first place if u don’t know what’s you’re doing.
My RAM was in these two slots and the computer was running fine but I read online that they should be in the same...
Na the ram is already set to auto hit no power going to monitors when in one and slot three
Because it will go faster if I put it in it's right places
What that even mean stoner?
How do you even reset settings on an oasis bios menu
Asus*
Everyone here is retarded, your dual channel kit should have one in dimm_1 and another in dimm_2 [dimm1][dimm3][dimm2][dimm4] is the layout. It will say on the motherboard champ
Yes I tried putting in 1 and 2 the 1st and the 3rd but no power even goes to the monitor and all of my frequency settings for the RAM are set to auto
Some boards will tell you to use slot 3 and 4 when you only have two sticks.
Also, you might have inserted the sticks incorrectly, or one of the slots might be defective. Who knows.
Unless you are running high-performance computing stuff, dual-channel memory has marginal performance gains over single-channel memory, so don't stress it too much.
If its not working in channel 1 and 2, then you probably had some sort of ESD on the components. Put it back into the origonal way you had it, if doesnt work you fried that shit
