Pic Related: This is one of the thousands of compelling stills taken in NYC on September 11th 2001. While there are others more iconic, recognizable, or dramatic, this one has to be one of my favorites for the understated brutality which becomes apparent after a deep study. The detritus of a recently deceased national naivety intermingled with the bits and pieces of what were once people.
In the same vein, a random shot taken dangerously close to Ground Zero. I've been meaning to find this exact spot and do a pic-within-pic comparison. I have a scant handful of these types of shots, and i find them to be rare treasures.
anyone have a good collection of images from this day in nyc? an imgur album or something like it would be great

This one could win awards for its depth of chroma, its backstory, and its general composition. Alas, it is merely one of literal millions of snapshots of the ill fated Rebel Alliance in Syria. What a moment in time. Ah well, down the memory hole it goes.
i have failed you. I have so many more but i cannot find them... very strange and now im perplexed as to where they all went.
here is a very intense gif. i think it speaks for itself. as i am sure you all already know (but i'll say it anyway because a teacher cannot change his shorts), but the true memetic power of gifs is the repetition. Take any gif and watch it for as long as you can. The image series will metamorphose into something wholly different than what it started as. You, too, shall change with the images, never again to be the an0n you arrived as.
This image is powerful. As an exercise, one could look at different segments and attempt to explain each part of the micro-composition. I would break the class into groups and then we'd reconvene to discuss the sum of its parts.
This one turns my stomach but it is a rare gem; it is actually quite rare to find coalition KIA footage or stills. The story behind this one (which i do not know) must be compelling. I think we can safely assume that everyone in the frame as well as behind it is now dead, either in our temporal frame or inside their flesh shell.
This image is really something special. If you look closely, you can see Acacia cochlocarpa subsp. velutinosa in the background: It is one of the of the rarest plants on the australian continent and on the list of endangered flora species. I saved it for future generations, just in case things go dire and it eventually really goes extinct - which hopefully will never happen!
The two tone background muddles the milk white skin of the subject. Her eyes are as bland and tortured as her heat flattened hair. A dull and vacuous slut captured by an uninspired and boring photographer. Nice save an0n.

The allure of anonymity. The pleasure of stolen moments. The curves of the body shrouded by a filmy gauze that beguiles and invites equally.
This is bonny and clyde. No hype. No glitz or fake glamour. This is where their twisted love took them. There is a lesson here, class, about the dangers of following your desires to their fullest.
to each there own, an0n. from my perspective, we all die alone, regardless of the company or audience.
your harsh, but you're not wrong
Is it really? If so, thank you for the correction.
Pic Related: I love this shot because i study war from a logistical/infrastructural perspective and this image is just a smorgasbord of interesting facets about Operation Overlord.
the context is the difference. i do not expect you to see with my eyes, but i do hope you use yours.
Pic Related: This has the texture of a natural disaster. A very good shot. I wonder how the operator felt snapping these. I would just be on autopilot (zing!).
wow. excellent contribution. i keep running these threads trying to get some sort of quality injection of content amidst the pornography and Zoomer silliness. I ran up an old server with Ubuntu 10 a few years back. I'll see if i can find some of my diagnostic shots. Please post anymore stuff you have. Data is beautiful.
clearly just turning to dust and falling crumbling. If you think it could have done that under 'It's own weight', you need to just get in the fucking sea.
glad you liked it. im happy that someone is doing this! makes me wish i would of photo logged a lot of my old projects. anyway. >what is it? three dyno runs of the same moped/scooter engine with different weighted rollers
>why'd i save it? was trying to lean about simple CVT transmission. each different weight would change the rpm of the engine while variating
The pictures from above were kept from the public for a long time

Columbine Why else share a 'random' class picture from that era. I confirmed with comments telling me the where's waldo i missed. While scanning clockwise.
eventually an order was given during the second world war that if you were found with this knife you were to be killed immediately(like that second). A commando with one of these could kill everyone in the room within a few seconds.
I just thought that's how the streets in NYC looked on a daily basis. People there are disgusting.
Jacob Clark
class photo of 1999. columbine high school. top left corner, the shooters aiming guns at the camera before the shooting happened. no one suspected anything. it's a reminder that you shouldn't mess with someone with a wallet and several screws loose upstairs. as a nonconformist outsider I've always supported the shooters more since they're more like me than normies are, plus they hated status quo normies and actually killed them.
James Lewis
Well fuck, between that and the Simpsons, it must have been planned.
kill yourself NPC I'm never drinking bleach. and by saying you don't support the shooters you're a normie and you don't belong here
Ethan Baker
thank you for confirming the fact that I'm a scary individual. If I scared you over the internet you'd be trembling if we were in the same room. fear cripples you, and I feel no fear since I did so many epic things in life that I'm ready to die.

seriously even tho I'm a neet I actually got a gf not too long ago. I look like a chad so it was easy, but more importantly, no one would suspect someone of my physical appearance to be a sadistic 4channer. i'm a wolf in sheep's clothing, and people like me are everywhere...
my only irl friend is a cool stoner buddy. i have a gf currently, and 50-60 of my best friends are all of my halo: reach inheritor buddies. we own matchmaking and rape little faggots like you all day long
real men don't need friends. only the company of women.

It was a hotel, retard. Your teenage ass probably doesn't have any idea bout the endless fire regulations on building materials in hotels as a result of fuckloads of people burning to death in early hotel fires nationwide, but fuckin look it up faggot, jesus christ.
The world isn't as simple as you think it is, you're just young and ignorant about it.
That wasn’t me you absolutely retarded pea brained inbred mouth breathing dog scrotum fondling seaman guzzling pink eyed umbrella twirling hair braiding soft dicked poetry writing faggot piece of shit.
This is a gif of a canine being beaten to death with a shovel. I saved it because I found the creature’s lack of understanding of its mortality to be humorous. After a long day, I sometimes enjoy watching this gif loop for a mins and having a hearty chuckle.
I dislike animal gore threads on account of humans should be smarter than to act like that to dumber species who have an excuse, having no reason to expect such abuse from a species that is supposed to be more intelligent, but I then watch human gore threads and chuckle for the inverse reason, because humans should be smarter than do shit that gets them chainsawed up the middle and lit on fire and stuffed into barrels of acid like old meat. Humans should be smarter than to end up in that situation, so if they do, well, there's 8 billion of us, we can afford to lose the worst among us.
And you know that from Call of Duty, right? Moron, you can catch a casing with your bare hand. Yes, it's hot but not scorching hot and definitely not hot enough to burn something.
Kevin Gomez
lol but when civilization got 3/4 of the way there it decided it was good enough, then throttled itself in the brain and decided everything was probably better in 1860 and set about undoing the previous century. ...literally retarding its development.

The fact its so fucking weird seeing that shit in the US makes you realise how fucking crazy it is that its common place all over the world.

that actually depends on how fast the gun the casing is ejected from has been firing. It is highly variable. I'm not saying his data point is a trump card, but it does bear consideration, and your conjecture about temperature is laughable at best in terms of provable consistency.

Because between those lobes is a hole that leads to a tube that fills with turds every day, and more humans on earth probably desire to jam their body parts up that tube and smoosh around its turds than any other on earth. Here the commander of that turd tube waves it at us and smiles knowing how a world of body parts is just waiting to crawl up it.

On June 4, 1962, Venezuelan photographer Héctor Rondón Lovera covered the El Porteñazo military rebellion in the city of Puerto Cabello. While he took many compelling scenes during the short-lived conflict, the most poignant of them all was his photograph above of Navy chaplain Luis Padillo clutching a wounded soldier who was also holding onto him as he tried to pull himself up. Despite the sniper fire flying around the area, Padillo was reportedly walking around and giving last rites to dying soldiers.
From the Venezuelan capital of Caracas, Lovera traveled sixty miles to Puerto Cabello and arrived just in time to witness the entrance of government tanks in the city. Lovera had to avoid the line of fire by lying flat, so how he managed to capture the poignant scene above is a story in itself. For his iconic snap entitled “Aid from a Padre,” Lovera earned the World Press Photo of the Year in 1962, and also inspired American painter Norman Rockwell for his 1965 Southern Justice painting.

>F117A >Finest That thing is a complete pile of toxic shit. Seriously. Those things couldn't even be destoyed they're such a fuckin disaster. Right now they're sitting in a fucking pit in the desert because the matrix material in the composite is breaking down and it's so fucking poisonous and we have no way of dealing with it at all, they basically gave up, literally dug a pit, popped up basically a shitty pole barn in it, wedged them all in there, declared it off limits, and simply locked the door on it and let them rot until question marks. We have no idea what we'll even do with the disasterous wreckage of those pieces of shit.
X15, SR71, B1, B2 Bomber are the bees knees, but the 117 was a total mistake.

can you give me a source on that? genuinely interested. i had always heard the knighthawk was an abortion...
I feel you, shes clearly distracted by her phone and using you for shelter and resources.
Cameron Reed
You mad bro?
John Peterson
Well my own personal source is my own long history of being a composite technician in aviation, getting an A&P license, 6yrs in the USAF, and now working in the industry again in QA. But you can watch a documentary on the 117. It's fate has been talked about quite a bit in & out of the biz, because there was some specualtion a few years back that we'd hauled a couple of old ones out of mothballs and were flying them again... a technical impossibility. Anything in the air now would have to have been new construction, which, not impossible for those guys, but pretty unlikely.

it is a flying pancake from what i recall. its one advantage was radar deflection, and the F22 and others accomplish this without all of the F117 drawbacks
