Some of this I can get behind, but I tend to watch streams of pro players in competitive games, or crazy world record runs of games I played badly as a kid. Seeing somebody do something you can do soooo much better than you ever will has appeal to it.

I'm 32, bought a house last year, and have a backup tower slaved to my living room projector. It's streaming twitch at least 50% of the time it's turned on - sometimes just for the dog to watch when I'm at work.

I like to watch people who are better than me at high skill-cap games; it helps me improve my own play and it's often amazing to see them pull off crazy shit that I wouldn't have even thought to try, all inside games that I consider myself pretty good at. It's educational and entertaining. I also like watching speedruns of old platformer games that I played when I was a little kid. Sometimes I'll put on a long slow strategy game stream to fall asleep.
