Does anyone here smoke CBD flower? No, not marijuana, and not high cbd/low thc bud.
Like the straight up CBD flower, the kind that is legal with .03% THC.
I suffer from IBD, some anxiety, and sleep issues. Some nausea. I ordered a dry herb vape and 5g's of Honolulu Haze to see if this stuff would help me at all.
No but I'm interested to see if it helps with IBS and sleep. Maybe I could stop getting high on weed so much.
Josiah Turner
This might sound kind of funny but until recently I worked in law enforcement (started my own business and left), I've never smoked weed not even as a teenager. But my IBD has been getting much worse, and I was thinking about trying weed until I came across this CBD flower... sounded like something I could function better on, on a daily basis since you don't have any psychoactive effects
Angel Kelly
When you say IBD do you mean general IBS? Or do you have a full on IBD such as Crohns?
Thomas Cooper
I'm in the process of diagnosis right now - originally they thought IBS, but I did a fecal calprotectin stool sample and it was level 462 (not supposed to be higher than 120) and they told me I probably have Crohns or UC.
They want to do a colonoscopy, but I've failed the "prep" twice because it makes me hurl instead of poop. So I'm not sure what to do.
Julian Rodriguez
Yeah that shits nasty. I had to have an endoscopy, then a full on colonoscopy where I had 3 polyps removed. The volume of that shit you have to drink doesn't help.
My blood tests for bowel cancel, coeliac, Crohns etc all came back negative. So diagnosed with just general IBS. Weed really helps with the cramps as it is antispasmodic, CBD is supposed to have that effect too. Helps things feel more settled. Doesn't stop the bloating or the increased bowel movements though.
Not sure if it would help with Crohns, but I'm not too clued up on exactly how Crohns affects you.
Matthew Sanders
I'm trying to look into other ways to get diagnosed without the bowel prep shit. No clue how, yet, though, and docs don't seem real helpful.
I take charlotte's web CBD oil now at night, it seems to help the stomach a bit as well as sleep, but I figured the actual flower might be better for both of those things.
Samuel Campbell
I bought 50 grams of the stuff off Amazon a couple of years ago... did absolutely fuck all. You're probably better off getting CBD oil since it's more concentrated.
Anthony Roberts
Other things I've found help are doinf the low FODMAP diet to find trigger foods and avoid the food groups that are bad for me. Also eat little and often. And a set routine for both meals and sleep. Enough sleep every night and in bed around the same time. Probiotics have helped me too, not the yoghurts, most of the bacteria die before reaching your gut. You want the tablets that you have to keep in the fridge. I've cut right back on alcohol, and coffee. Yoga is also good for the digestive system, and helps lower stress levels with can be a real serious trigger.
I thought they could tell if you had Crohns just from the blood sample? Did they say what they were looking for with the colonoscopy?
Landon Harris
I buy full spectrum CBD oil capsules on dream market and smoke high CBD content strains. Such a game changer. Smoked couple of legal strains and now smoke CBD vape liquid. Makes wonders for my anxiety.
Lucas Reyes
I've tried the low FODMAP, it's kinda hit or miss. To be honest I'm down to a handful of foods that don't completely set me off at this point. I've been meaning to try like 6 smaller meals a day instead of 3, but it's been tough with my previous work schedule. I only recently went full time with my business. I'm deathly allergic to dairy, which 99% of probiotics contain or are cultured from, but I've tried a few that weren't, and they didn't seem to do much.
Alcohol oddly doesn't seem to bother me much as long as it's on a relatively empty stomach (you'd think that'd be worse... but it's not) and only if I stick to sake or whiskey. Can't tolerate much else outside those two.
My GI said he can't diagnose or help me without the colonscopy. So I scheduled with a new GI. They want to take biopsies and see the inflammation inside I guess, and of course check for polyps and remove them if necessary. I've been trying to get the capsule endoscopy but my doc refuses.
Henry Campbell
So right now I've been taking charlotte's web CBD oil, it seems to help to some degree but I heard other people say smoking the flower had much quicker affects and stronger.
I'll probably keep using the oil + the flower if it works, otherwise I'll just stick to the oil
Daniel Miller
I read somewhere that CBD performs poorly without THC. Try mixing it with another strain.
Charles Thompson
I'm the other IBS guy and from what I've heard smoking/vaping the flower makes it quick in quicker but shorter lasting. Whereas ingesting the oil takes longer to tak effect but lasts longer.
Mason Barnes
entourage effect
Camden Hughes
Never helped me fucking expensive garbage
Isaiah Young
Vaping gives me instant results and very discreet, but hard to get in UK so I buy of the dark market.
Luis Taylor
I've noticed a decent difference in my bowel issues since taking it. I still have discomfort and occasionally a diarrhea episode, but it's been further apart. However I noticed I haven't "felt" anything with the CBD oil. Then again, I take it like an hour before bed so maybe I'm not feeling it since I'm asleep.
But I do end up dealing with some anxiety over the bowel issues, sometimes the pain is traumatic from my bad episodes, so it kinda makes me apprehensive all the time if I feel any minor aches or pains in my gut even if it's not an emergency. Hoping the flower might work well for that type of anxiety
Austin Thomas
Some hemp flower are very low on CBD. Find a strain with proper weed genetics and over 15% CBD
Levi Green
This is the stuff I got. It'll be the first one I try
Does CBD oil/Flower do anything for people without anxiety problems? Like is there anyone who uses it recreationally to relax without really getting high?
Leo Baker
all this hype about CBD yet i cant really say if it has any effect on me at all. i mean its barely beyond placebo. Most of the time i just smoke it out of boredom to have the taste but not be stoned as fuck afterwards. Also tried to mix it with thc to weaken out the joint a little bit cause nowadays weed is way too strong for me sometimes
Alexander Perry
Maybe, but its very subtle. Try Kratom.
Jaxon Morris
Great stuff. See if it helps. If it doesn't try experimenting by mixing with THC strains. Experiment and hopefully you find something like i did. Still try though different stuff as one strain varies from another.
Thomas Garcia
You should not feel anything from CBD strain that's the beauty of it. Just feeling of calmness and concentration.
Benjamin Allen
All Hemp is good for is maybe filling out a reefer as a cost cutting exercise. Investigate other creative herbs/highs and invest your money in something that actually makes an impression.
Bentley Robinson
I've been told Kratom is like opiates, and that shit scares me. I was just looking for a light relaxing experience because i cant really find weaker weed anymore. But I'll look more into it.
Xavier Fisher
which herbs then ?
David Hernandez
Effects are similar but unless you are planning on reloading to the point becoming a junkie there's not a major issue. It's nothing like a heavy opiate, just and energising relaxing high. You could also try Blue lotus flower steeped in wine, it may be worth a google.
Robert Torres
Search for high CBD strains and see what's available around. Depends What's on offer. Try what you can get, but try couple of them they all feel different.
Brandon Harris
Ill check it out user, thanks!
Jeremiah Wright
I currently have CBDiesel. Its delicious. I use it to relieve anxiety and inflammatory disease. I do get slightly buzzed but its not like a THC high. Its more like easy going, relaxed and comfortable. When i smoke strong THC strains i get tight, anxiouss and depressed, so i only take a puff or two then butt it out.
As far as it helping myy condition. I did see a smalll improvement in my inflammatory disease last summer while smoking CBD RENE strain.
I actually prefer CBD strains now anyway. I like the flavors of weed but i dont really enjoy being high anymore.
