He’s actually not that good, anyone could do this, Kurt angle proved this when he adopted a similar mindset at one point, they’d just do filler for a few minutes and then make the finishing stretch half the match, which made them all seem ebin, but Kurt angle is shit so they got boring quickly because his wrestling didn’t tell a story
But it always works out well when the office gives a guy heaps of time and puts faith in him, and that guy is prepared to take a bump and put in maximum effort. Worked for Tanahashi, worked for Muto, worked for Hashimoto, worked for Misawa, worked for Marifuji, Miyohara, etc etc etc
