Can we take a second to seriously talk about Benoit?

I know you're a faggot because you're bringing up Silver King when Negro Casas is right there. I've seen him live at least 50 times and he blows everyone else out of the water as far as technical prowess.

>sucks at making comparisons
negro casas is also still alive, dumbshit.

He wasn't the best technical wrestler of all time, he was just straight up the best wrestler of all time. Unparalleled intensity. Never wasted a moment.

>Was he the best technical wrestler of his time?
Maybe? He crossed over with Bret Hart, Owen Hart, Kurt Angle, Dean Malenko, HBK and Chris Jericho.

I would put Bret above him but I would agree with about workrate and his ability to sell.

The Bret Hart Vs. Chris Benoit Owen Hart Tribute match is the best worked match I've ever seen. Everything in it is perfect.

Angle, Bret and Benoit are the best technical wrestlers. Could easily make an argument for any of them.

>technical wrestler
This term doesn't even mean anything man

>le German suplex man
No

>best technical wrestler
lol no. Tons of Japanese pro-wrestlers were superior technical wrestlers. Even someone like Fit Finlay was a better technical wrestler.

>debating best technical wrestler

Wrestling is fake nothing is "technical"

Can we take a second to seriously talk about Benoit?
Yeah he was pretty influential in a lot of careers. MVP name dropped him when he debuted in New Japan before joining Alberto Del Rio's promotion.

Was he the best technical wrestler of his time?
Pretty damn good submission artist. From a work rate and skill perspective, he's pretty damn toe to toe with Kurt Angle. But Kurt Angle would later go on to win the IWGP.

What would have happened if he didn't use the Diving Headbutt?
Same outcome. Blame Kevin Sullivan.

How was he as champion?
Pretty damn good, considering WWF at the time kept shorting him out by giving the titles he wanted to other wrestlers, like Jericho, Angle, and who ever else was the bigger charisma draw. It took up until him being a spoiler to HHH and Shawn Michaels for WWF to treat him as something other than a cruiserweight.

But yeah, look around on youtube for several interviews. Some people believe it was a murder, other people who knew him pretty close knew he was depressed as shit, but wouldn't do what he did. Other people really believe he snapped because of how badly damaged his brain was from taking too many bumps.

Still unironically one of my favorite wrestlers though. Shame JTL won't get the dream retirement match he wanted against Pegasus Kid, one of his favorites.
