I think I might quit this. I only picked it up recently because I didn't think I'd like a game about parrying. Progressing through levels again and fighting off mobs to get to your target in Souls isn't great, but in this it's tedious as hell. So many generals have a dozen men you need to pick off one by one before moving on. You can't just run in and slash and be over and done with like in Souls. It takes ages to get into a 1v1 with a boss. Is the entire game like this? I'm just trying to beat some minibosses before the guy at the top Ashino Castle but I'm feeling like I can't be bothered.

You're a ninja so stop fighting honourably and use your ninja skills.
>So many generals have a dozen men you need to pick off one by one before moving on
I wouldn't say 2 is too many, and even then the one at the top of the stairs are aided by only gunners that die in two sword slashes.
Also make use of stealth
That is the fun of the game.
Are you the guy having trouble with Seven Spears? Just rush to him.
Didn't beat it.
Bet you used summons in ER
Never played ER
Hell, I only played DS PtDE up until killing the fat fuck of a tutorial boss and then dropped it
Didn't like how that played, I doubt I'd like how the rest of the series plays either
Heres me beating the 'unbeatable' genechiro fight at the beginning of the game. Charmless.
tl/dr- stop whining and git gud
youtube.com
>lock on
You didn't beat it.
op status: btfo
You sound like a pathetic game urinalist
>NG+
Doesn't count
Yeah, whatever works, as long as it's not glitching a boss out of bounds so it can die to fall damage.
Its actually impressive how much of a bad impression Sekiro leaves in its early game
>samurai general and 6 faggots around him
>samurai general in big stairs with 6 riflemen around him
>shinobi hunter with 4 bandits around him
>drunkard with 12 bandits around him
By then you think all mini bosses will be this tedious.
I can do it on NG no prob. But I already beat him like a 100 times just for fun so I may not be the best benchmark.
>no headphones
>still can hear the whole thing in my head
Most satsifying clang clang system ever.
what this guy says is true and it does get way better after ashina castle in that regard trust me
Try beating regular Geni with your eyes closed. I almost fucking cummed when I finally succeeded.
>NG+
lol
lmao
bro you've spammed this for more than 24 hours now
are you mentally unwell, do you have a disability?
get shit on you fucking faggot
I did it for his first phase against isshin.
Did it so many times I couldn't even be bothered to look at the screen anymore.
What? This is the dumbest complaint I've ever seen. Just run to the boss dumbass
PC gamers have autism and no friends
... You didn't open the webm, did you
You just saw that the title was similar and assumed they were the same webm
You're the kind of faggot that judges games without playing them
You are the cancer killing this board
You are a mentally unwell child that grew up without a father. Kill yourself, you literal parasite
could someone explain the context of this?
he's demonstrating that you can bypass the problem OP is describing with stealth
stop spamming your shitty webm and go outside
your ad hominem is some sad projection my guy
alright, thx
It isn't the same webm, faggot. Read. It could help you get a job and not be a parasite
Why are people so assblasted about this?
People usually get mad when they struggle with something and then notice someone else just bypass the problem with 0 effort.
Just human nature.
Because it's a simple stealth solution people never ventured out to try and find, and it saves a LOT of time
Only exposes them for not giving Sekiro's movement and stealth a proper try
i picked it up recently too and i have been struggling more than i thought i would, but i think i just need to build up the muscle memory
You can't just run in and slash and be over and done with like in Souls
>You can if you know where most of the ashina samurais are the equivalent of stormtroopers
>So many generals have a dozen men you need to pick off one by one before moving on
kill x to fight y. I don't see anything new and you could just run to the bosses, generals require it if you're new and still lack eperience.
>It takes ages to get into a 1v1 with a boss
I have to dissagree. But I can understand why It would take so much for someone that has difficulty fighting stormtroopers.
Is the entire game like this? I'm just trying to beat some minibosses before the guy at the top Ashino Castle but I'm feeling like I can't be bothered.

Depends on what you mean like this again, most of these problems are a skill issue unironically lmao.
Try to beat Genichiro first. Maybe this way you'll git gud.
I started playing recently too, just beat genichiro, should i do the senpou temple next or the sunken valley? I beat the miniboss with the cannon, but i couldn't beat the purple guy in the cave
Senpou, Sunken Valley, Ashina Depths is the order the game wants you to follow
>purple guy in cave
The fight demands proper item usage
You should be able to beat it if you have enough Pacifying Agent and Divine Confetti
3 of each should suffice
Avoiding hardship prevents growth.
Can't you just run past every enemy that doesn't have a fogwall
Why work hard when you can work smart
God I really enjoyed the fighting in this but for some reason I put it down when I came to a bridge with snipers and couldnt figure it out.
Pick it up again when dpne with ER
I beat Sekiro so many times. No other game can fill this void. I even did three no hit and kill every boss runs for fun.
I hope that one day Fromsoft would make another Souls game that has similar combat like Sekiro.
This is why Sekiro is the best Souls game
You can just scoot past all enemies so fast, makes replaying areas a breeze
what was the lore behind these nigs anyway
>simple solution
Solution to what? What is the issue being solved here?
lol retards sekiro is not a game about being an honourable samurai, it's about being a ruthless shinobi
if you're trying to play fair you're literally retarded and probably got filtered by Lady Butterfly
working smart is good. It is not good when it stops physical growth though. Use a shortcut once you made the road on the normal path.
>no hit
Crazy how you can be so good at this
removes half of a "difficult" miniboss' health bar
the vast majority of souls babbies got filtered by it because they're total shit and sekiro combat
Priests being considered heretics and decapitated I think?
Yes, that doesn't stop you in any way from perfect parrying every atack or countering/dodging red ones.
The ads that are a few metres away don't get aggro'd if you use the path in the webm
If you don't use this path, then you will have to use stealth to kill the ads and then face the mini-boss that spawns below the roof
Which isn't hard, but it can get a bit repetitive because 7 Spears can be a bit of a tough cookie if you aren't the best at he game
>he thinks I didn't tread the normal path before finding this out
lol
lmao even
Sakura face looks like shit
Nah you're just assuming things. What i said was something for everyone. Also you pinged 2 different people.
>Breeze through the entire game
>No problems, okay difficulty
>Have a little trouble with Hatred (10ish attempts)
>Do all optional stuff I know of (no guide)
>Get to final boss
>He wrecks my shit
>Insane damage, speed, health and range
>Utilize all that I can. Mikiri, parry, tools
>Still fucks me up
>Currently on a break
Who the fuck thought making this guy this difficult was a good idea? It's such a jump in difficulty, it's not even fun. I think I'm missing only one set of beads. I have all memories though. Yet he still takes barely any damage and dishes out 5/6 of the healthbar.
>Make a game where you're encouraged to stealth and use what you have
>Final boss is just lightspeed gwyn but with 3 (+1) forms
>Owl should've been the last b oss. Fuck the old fucker
>Ishin was difficult
That's bait.
>was
I'm still on it
Hesitation is Defeat.
There is no way that you went all smooth through the whole game and then get steamrolled by Ishin. I beat Ishin in less than 2-3 attempts, It felt more like the end big guy, use everything You got and beat the shit out of this mf".
Maybe that happened because i always forced myself to react fast and do most of the fight the samurai way.
Sword Saint's first phase is quick, but it's predictable. Attack, attack, deflect, react to perilous kanji: should get you through this phase
His second phase has erratic slow swings which can be reacted to reflexively. As long as you don't hesitate
Third phase is a victory lap
You've beaten Genichiro, Great Shinobi Owl and True Monk
You SHOULD be able to beat this
Hesitation is defeat.
Hesitation is defeat
Have you considered being better at the game
