Maliketh is easy with the Blasphemous Claw. One parry and you can get enough free hits to take away 40% of his health bar, and his parry window is massive. Malenia and Elden Beast are far worse from a design standpoint.

They give you a counter to Maliketh's horse shit though. He is a pretty poorly designed boss I agree, but I can name at least 3 worse in this game alone.

The game's bosses fundamentally work on the same logic as Elden Ring's bosses. However, the player has far more tools and overall interactivity to deal with them. Namely counters, and the boss being able to counter your counters which you then have to dodge/jump over to stagger them.

its not about "lemme take muh turn" Its about lacking flashy style attacks and spells yourself. Nearly every single weapon art thats neat or "cool" looking is dog shit and you cant really make use of it in 90% of situations and thats the problem. Honestly dark souls style 1 poise would fix a few of the issues, but still most bosses are just from a different genre of game all together and thats the true issue.

Basically the "realization you are just a slouched virgin" means that enemy design and levels and everything evolved so much while you are still a clunky moving character.
Bosses and enemies in ER are even crazier than Bloodborne so why our moveset and combat abilities are a fucking DOWNGRADE from that game?
It doesn't have to be hard. Hell i beat most of last bosses rather easily by trading hits and spamming jump attacks with heavy weapons and healing since i had a lot of flasks, but it WASN'T FUN.
Seriously, for me ER was just some kind of breaking point with the dichotomy between players and enemies. What in DeS and DaS used to be fighting old heroes past their prime but still dangerous and feeling amazing after defeating them, now is me realizing that mechanically, the player and enemies are just so fucking different it is impossible to be fun at all. At most it's a light show, a spectacle that looks good but gameplay wise, it fucking sucks because it ends up resorting to shitty cheesy tactics.
