Somewhere in 2010-2011 probably, maybe even sooner. Wii was the last console that felt like it still routinely got the kind of games I really cared about, and even then that was partially on the coattails of it being a console that was appropriate to port/make PS2 tier games on in any fashion. It's alright though, Vita and Switch have been kinda based since then.

I'm sad that physical games are basically dead. On the off chance a game has a physical copy, only a small portion of the game is on the disc. Everything is locked behind Steam or on of the other launchers. The days of installing a disc and entering a key are gone. The worst part is how everyone seems to be ok with it. They bitch when Steam goes down but they forget quickly.

Everything to do with watching streamers, I can deal with esports since I remember the LAN tournaments of old and also early SC2. But these are watching the top level of games so it makes sense some people watch that. But general streamers like watching some basedjak or ethot just play a game and pretend to be your friend is awful and I don't understand how anyone can watch this even as white noise.
