I think nostaligia blinds people to how the actual games were. DeS DS DS2 Ds3 are all objectively worse than Elden Ring. Elden ring is just a souls game refined

eh maybe if you consider the single elements, but the whole package matters and the clutter in ER brings it down. Maybe I'll change my mind when I'll do a second playthrough ignoring most of the side stuff, but at the moment the pointless dungeons the vast streaks of uninspired grass fields are starting to bother me
