>That hat slapping
Fucking hate the fact that games need to do this kind of shit for normalfags that need to see everything moving all the time or they get bored.

>>Emulating PS3 games is also soulful as whole
This is true, along with emulating 360 games.

Take a look at pic related.
If you still don't get it, you're about as hopeless as those chinks in Wuhan.

is that loss

The closest I can come to is "consistent" and that's still fairly subjective. Something is "soulless" when it loses what made the original good. So in the case of OP, Mario never quite moved in such an animated bouncy way. It's inconsistent of what we know Mario to be not just from SMB1, but from what came later too.

Another example of this is the "sonic redesign" that gets shitposted sometimes. It reduces Sonic's ability to express, and becomes inconsistent - because we know Sonic is a hedgehog with attitude.

I know this isn't objective, but that's as close as I can get. I'll think on it.

Alright, explain how the neighbourhood was better in Sims 1
I really wanna hear it

>using the neighborhood that is purposely empty for the player to develop as a comparison
