Chrono Trigger, FF7 is so horribly paced that it actually tells you to take a break when you reach the halfway point. For every good moment there's an extra 5 hours of filler bullshit that adds nothing to the story

Gameplaywise CT fairs a bit better since FF7 is so ridiculously easy you can get by on just attacking and healing for 90% of the game. FF7's story and characters are better written and more in depth though, CT is cute and charming but that's pretty much all it has to offer.
