Teamfight Tactics was a FOTM game mode rushed out to compete with Autochess and Dota Underlords. Fighting games aren't very popular, and they bought a seperate studio that has been working on it for several years by now. It seems like they want to be the company to make fighting games to break out big or something. That being said I don't have any expectations on the game actually being good, but they're probably gonna try to push it hard.

I don't think it will have any special motion inputs. One of their main goals is probably to make the game feel like it belongs on PC, and shit like quarter circles don't feel very intuitive on keyboard. Not to mention they'll want to sell it to their current player base, which probably isn't into fighting games at all.

In the 10+ years of Riot's existence the only games they've gotten off the ground are a Dota clone and an Auto Chess clone, which is pretty embarrassing for a company their size.
