The new Steam library update has tall images but most games don't have them so it looks ugly. But you can set them manually.

I've played the first one and I liked it at least. The powers you get tend to make it pretty easy but it's pretty neat anyways.

It's the new steam library thats still in beta, it makes the right of the screen grid mode (with cover art instead of grids) plus a feed of game updates for games you own and recently played games. When you actually select a game it goes back to something similar to detail mode.
Best part is the much better search, grouping and organising, the rest is pretty much easier way to see updates and pretty modern interface that will eat all your resources if you have a shit pc

It's called minimalism. Too bad all of these pretentious artists decided to apply it into things that they shouldn't be in, such as game GUIs and HUDs. Yeah, let's just remove essential aspects of functionality for the sake of making everything the same shape and the same monochrome white. Actually when you really think about it, you don't need realtime gameplay for minimalism to become a usability problem. That standardized format of a vague background and a white logo will already be less usable than vanilla covers with original custom title art. You always know what game Doom is just based on the color scheme of the title. Remove that and it's less recognizable. Keep removing things and it becomes difficult to discern from other titles.
