using no AA makes everything look clear but now jagged

Retards, no AA, no exceptions.

anything that removes blinking shit and things coming in and out of view is an upgrade in my book,

AA does none of those things

u get a nice FPS boost if its not FXAA soreally i thnk its worth it lower frametimes=better

i don't care about jaggies so i use low or no AA everywhere

>TAA
Found your problem.

Wait is this shit out? Is it on steam or epic cause I cant find it

blissard

Looks like STALKER with gloss over the weapons

thats retarded, I forgot activision even owns blizzard lmao, any interesting gamemodes like that 50 v 50 or just boring shit?

>we want to make our game look like apex legends

i guess the only way is to play at 4k

>using AA
Lol you should have stuck to CRT screens, back in the days we didn't need AA

Modern AA really is trash, I miss MSAA so much, but modern rendering kind of fucked it over. And SSAA is far too fucking taxing for anything newer than 10 years old.

right now its just:
TDM
domination regular
dominoation 20 man
HQ regular
HQ 20 man

only 3 maps
im hoping they remake some kino maps from cod4 and MW2 like strike, crash, backlot, highrise, terminal, estate

Don't forget to turn off the filmic and film grain bullshit that's in the AA tab. Makes the game look so much better.

no AA looks good in it's own way, I should use it more often.

4k crt when? i want perfect brightness and zero input lag coupled with good upscaling, fuck led/oled consumer shit

>turn your mother on
>she soaks MY bed sheets

Who likes this lifestyle???

never because this died

>swapped by cheaper technology to make more money
>this tech is way worse but normalfags eat it out as if it was better
>it's cemented after memes such as eye cancer from crt become popular

What is wrong with devs and TAA? The only cases I can think of where it looks okay are in Doom 2016, Watch Dogs 1, and maybe Gears 5. With every other game its like I'm playing on a lower resolution.

FXAA is a shit tier AA but it costs zero FPS so devs love to use it.

that isnt even the problem here you fucking retard, but just go and assume things you don't understand anything about.
The game doesn't even use garbage FXAA but SMAA

First of all, find any company on the planet that makes CRTs
Second of all, find an analog display standard that can push 3840*2160. Video cards can't do that, and I doubt that the display could do it without costing thousands of dollars. You could buy multiple OLED displays and have better color accuracy
CRTs hit their hardware limits. It isn't bad technology, but they cannot scale to modern day expectations

Attached: 1563563248516.png (887x1019, 1.4M)

>but they cannot scale to modern day expectations
Objectively wrong, they had cheaper technology that would "measure" up so they dropped that tech, but there are no physical limitations holding it back, just lack of research money.

Up your resolution scale dumbfuck

>he didnt play cyberattack

>but they cannot scale to modern day expectations
they can? i mean,we had high resolution crt monitors, whats the problem with it besides the production cost?

thats because the aa you're using is just blurring the image, you idiot. use DSR if you want no jaggies with no blurriness

hol up is MW1 back???

I agree. Fuck deferred rendering. But consider the following: With increasing polygon count MSAA is converging towards SSAA.

Attached: 1507299442798.png (438x544, 198K)

I like cyber attack it just sucks that you have some assholes jumping around the map at Mach speed with an smg, seriously shouldn't have added the minimap back

Even worse, most graphics intensive games nowadays are designed around temporal anti-aliasing. Turning it off makes the picture sharp but incredibly noisy and jagged

taa is fine at 4k

D44M did it right. Turn up their weird TAA to the max and then use a sharpen filter. Looks great. No idea how they did it. On a 27" 1440p it looks just as good as 8xMSAA or 18QxCSAA.

There are a lot of reasons, bit mostly because it would cost as much and be worse than mled or oled which scale fantastically
Analog signals don't scale to high resolution (or frames per second at said resolution) unless you spend a lot of time and money. The electron gun in a CRT doesn't make sense for large screens because of the single point nature. You don't get a full image, even if you have progressive scan, and the panel needs to be curved to some degree.

>and the panel needs to be curved to some degree.
Wrong, retard! Ever seen a FW 900? Hell I have a smaller 4:3 Sony Trinitron that goes up to 1600×1200 and guess what? NO FUCKING CURVES. The max res only supports 70hz, but still. The picture is on par with my 2017 1000€ IPS display, but without any persistance blur. You never used a good CRT in your entire life. The old TV of your grandma is not a representative sample.

I actually like the smooth look that post-processed AA has. A hell of a lot more than no AA at all.

It's very simple, First you blur out everything so that the jaggy edges just blend in with the background, then you use a specially designed sharpening filter that brings out the textures again. Many games do this, just not as well as DOOM.

t. pleb

TAA and FXAA are dogshit

This only opens up for everyone starting tomorrow right? (PC)

D44M is the first time I have seen a post process AA solution that I didn't hate. I can't believe it's not MSAA!

what you do is downsample from 8k to 4k, if a poorfag, or just play 8k natively only forward shaded games

Attached: out.jpg (7680x4320, 3.93M)

I think you're just missing the point. At higher resolutions (and therefore screen sizes), CRTs cannot do what LCDs and LED-based designs can. A "4k CRT" is not practical in the slightest, since it would do just about everything worse than OLED

>only forward shaded games
That's what I do. Fuck modern rendering pipelines. MSAA and prebaked lighting forever! Shit, Mirrors Edge uses both and is still the best looking game to this day, despite being 10 years old. I reset my case.

1900x1200 worked great for the FW900 in the early 2000's. Sure, it was like 3k USD new, but I don't need a higher res anyways.

Attached: D892F3A5B245C157DB02479E4B91BC393EC5A3E2[1].jpg (2560x1440, 818K)

>I don't need a higher res anyways
This isn't about you, it's about what consumers as a whole expect. 20 inch screens aren't cutting it.

>Wanting to look at shitty textures in 8k or 4k
I love it

The FW900 was almost 23", though.

Is that supposed to look better? Just compare the power cables lmao.

supposed to look clearer

Which AA is this? If I remember, "Filmic SMAA" is pretty shit in CoD games, regular SMAA is better.
Also how does it look downsampled from 1440p with no AA?

Can i do the old pre order for beta then just refund when its over on battle net?

Tomorrow's open beta anyways.

The ABSOLUTE state of Yea Forums's understanding of 3D computer generated graphics

That's below average for a monitor; certainly not a reasonable size for 3840*2160, or even 2560*1440.
I wouldn't say it's bad for what it was, but you have to accept that the technology was at its limits.

no

The fuck fuck needs more than 27" for a PC monitor?

>using AA makes the game look bad
>no using AA makes the game look jagged
Just use A then lmao

oh i thought this whole weekend was just open for pre orders

Genuinely use SMAA 1X or 2X, not Filmic shit. At this point the higher post process option, the more blurry it gets.
In Rising Storm 2 I have to set FXAA to medium, because high settings is just too blurry, while medium settings does the job just fine.

That's where 2160p makes sense
I don't find it practical either, but it's what people buy

Me I decided to grab a big one and a cheap parts to throw together a tv setup in the living room

>2160p
If I bought 2160p I'd still keep it a 27", as long as UI scaling on windows stops being dogshit.

Just imagine if MSAA was still a standard.

yes we fucking did

You don't get a visual improvement over 1440p at only 27" unless you're 2' away from the screen. Past that human eyes blur the pixels together and the resolution you see is less

RS2 looks like dog shit though.

Learn each AA method and use only the hardware ones, you dumb fuck.
FXAA = loss of data in attempt to predict more info
MSAA = intrepretation of existing data to create more info

SuperSampling = more raw data

terminal was so fucking kino
