Modern games have their palettes and lighting designed around LEDs to. They look like shit on CRTs. Enjoy your Super Mario Bros. though.
>24"
Hope that game has a UI scale slider.

>Used ones couldn't be any cheaper at this time
Just because you can find a used CRT on Craigslist or at a garage sale doesn't mean it's good. The CRT shown in your OP picture makes use of Sony FW900, (which has been discontinued), and is one of the best CRTs ever made.
The chances of you finding a CRT of that quality even used in a garage sale or any place convenient is slim to none, and the chances of you finding it on an online e-commerce site is more likely, but it's also just as likely that they know it's valuable so they'll charge a shit ton for it.
>(which has been discontinued)
Haven't they all been discontinued?
>OLD GOOD
>NEW BAD
went to the junkyard yesterday, picked a small one, easy to carry. carry that shit home 20min and it didn't work
>Used ones couldn't be any cheaper at this time
You almost had me, but no. They're just getting more and more pricey, and threads like this only makes this shit worse.
>FW900
This shit was already expensive years back and now it's only going to be worse.
Luckily I didn't fall for the CRT meme.
Do they still produce CRTs even? It would be cool if Sony started making the FW900 again
This meme is definitely being perpetuated by zoomers who never had to deal with CRT, right? It was shit, I remember the first time I switched over to HD and it was 100x better.
GUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUHHHHH.... GUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUH....... GUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUHHHHHHHHHH........ GUH.........

I think there's still a factory or two making them for niche uses.
I have a CPD-G220R Trinitron that came with my college Vaio on my 98 box, and a U2410 as my current monitor. I would rather use the U2410 in all circumstances, I really can't tell the difference between the Trinitron or the game mode on the U2410 lag/response-wise, same with tearing with Vsync off, it's a decent panel, so tearing either isn't a nightmare for my eyes, or it isn't horribly noticeable. The picture on the U2410 is also way better, and moody games like FEAR and Bamham have dark blacks like nature intended, as backlight bleed is pretty minimal
It was an awesome monitor back when my 8800GTS was hot shit, but I can't really live without widescreen or pixel-perfect shit anymore, and it's also VGA only. Any quality IPS is going to give you the best blacks LCD can give you if you can deal with no Gsync/Freesync, as they're usually executive-tier monitors. CRT's are also HOT at high refresh rates and take up a bunch of space, they're not desert-friendly
There is absolutely no problem with a CRT for ancient consoles though S-video will look either as good or nearly as good as RGB/component on a nice TV, especially for the PS2
You are a retard.
Already have a 31-incher.
>everything from NES to Dreamcast looks great
>movies aren't as blurry during action scenes
>scrolling in old 2D games isn't a blurry mess at high speeds
Then again, I don't live in a closet so space isn't a concern.
because I dont need the latest tech all the time my plasma works fine
You don't know how to debate.
