Its just like real life!

clown world is becoming less funny each day

It was funny when it was a meme and not real life

Arent there other places to discuss about the game instead of the gearbox forum?

"It" shoul be more appropriate for a robot but why am i even arguing with californians. I don't think of the USA as an western country anymore to begin with. The entire country was born from whigs rejectin Logos or Natural Law to begin with. It's not surprising it devolved into a leftist shithole. It's strange they are still allowed to have Fascis symbolism desu, they will destroy Lincoln's monument for "nazi speech" soon I think.

a game for cucks

>waaaaaah my vidya isn't historically accurate

>missing the point

Attached: 1560862127750.jpg (689x653, 15K)

>doesn't understand why you want authenticity in a game with a historical setting
>gets upset when you don't authenticate their chosen gender
yep, you're a faggot.

i think there is a singer who is actually saying that now. you have to refer to him as "we" or "them" or some nonsense.
i think he may be joking though desu

This kind of behavior left unchecked is how we get the Ministry of Truth

This is extreme cherry picking. The game recreates ancient Egypt incredibly well, even making the main character arabic instead of WE WUZ KANGZ

That and decrying all facts that don't fit your narrative as fake news without any proper rebuttal.

>please remember that this forum's rules include not attacking others for their beliefs also we will ban you if you have the wrong beliefs

>decrying all facts
that's a bit of a loaded statement. you've already declared the information to be factual and so anyone who disagrees with you automatically becomes wrong regardless if they rebut properly or not.
if you start in bad faith you're going to receive similar treatment in return.

men arent women though.
its a fact.

No one's gonna point out how weird the wording is? Why did they say it like that?
>The team felt it was not necessary to prioritize sexism over inclusive gameplay.
They're talking as if it's a zero-sum equation, like you can't have historical authenticity and inclusive gameplay. Those aren't mutually exclusive things, you can have both. Why didn't they just say
>yo this is innaccurate but we don't really care lmao
And what even is inclusive gameplay? If you buy pirate the game, you can play it, simple as that. Who's being excluded? This thing just seems like a bunch of buzzwords piled on top of each other so that ubisoft can use intersectionality as a shield against criticism.

yeah that's true, good point

>ITT: the absolute state of gaming
only western gaming

In this case "facts" refers to infirmation gathered and presented in good faith, not self-decreed "facts" which is the same side of the coin as blanket dismissal as fake news.

Look, the robot gender thing is fucking stupid, but more than that, I am tired of retards like you that don't understand that the singular they has been a part of typical english speech for centuries.

>posting the twitter of an inbred redneck that wears a baseball cap.

Shit is supposed to be in the toilet, not around it.

>post-14th century
That'd be the fault of the French infiltrating the English language during the late medieval period. We can safely discard it.

>crossbow altair was seen using in the e3 reveal trailer was removed from the game because of historical accuracy
>10 years later pic related

Can I refer to the robot as it?

I fucking hate this and I hate trannies

Can't we just keep them locked up in looney bins like mentally ill are supposed to? They are endangering society as we know it. Or do you disagree? And if so, how and why?

truly this is the end times, a website setting their own rules

The irony is the robit doesn't even care and finds it all confusing, its in the bio for the character.
To me it just highlights the insanity of the left when even the people they are "championing" literally doesn't care and would rather be left alone.

also, fictional

>1st century BC Egypt
>arabic

just like thinking you are a woman just because you cut your dick off: fiction.

There will always be a group of people causing controversy for attention.

>The moral panic I'M pitching a fit about is surely the one that will destroy us all.
Yeah dude remember when Rock music turned us all into satanists?

we're in agreement. the fact that it is fictional makes it even more ridiculous that it "needs" to have it's pronouns "respected".

I just don't understand how they can be so Puritanical but also so godless at the same time.

This was actually really clever of Randy. Put something "controversial" in the game and your game gets talked about more. There is no escaping redditlands 3.

But that’s bullshit and you know it. They being used to refer to a singular person only works if the person in question is hypothetical. Once you are aware of a person’s gender, you discard they. Tomorrow, count how many times you refer to a singular, known person as they. You won’t do it once.

Seething tranny

nope. hope those shape shifters pay in actual money.

Here are some normal, natural exchanges you might have with another native English speaker:

"I got a call from Frank yesterday"
"What did they say?"

"I invited Stacy to the party"
"Are they coming?"

A singular they is a common and normal part of regular English. To pretend that it isn't is to be willfully ignorant of how people talk to one another. You are so assblasted about something so simple that you are deliberately ruining your own understanding of English because you care more about "winning" this ridiculous culture war than actually being correct.

Let's be very clear here - you are absolutely incorrect.

Attached: Cult 1.jpg (626x775, 135K)

or if they insist on it say you will only comply if they acknowledge it is used solely for multiple entities and they would have to have recognized multiple personality disorder for you to entertain the idea.
Then when they agree say you don't converse with the mentally ill and that all forms of dissociative disorders are a mental illness.
Then roller skate away from them derisively.

>Twitter screencap thread
The absolute state of Yea Forums. Permabans for making threads like these when?

Because those transpeople you think you're oh so superior to will be the ones locking your privileged bigoted ass in a loony bin, chud.

Frank isn't in your presence, neither is Stacy, that makes them hypothetical entities while discussing them.
If they are in your presence you would never address them as they or them. It is just rude etiquette to do so.

>dude just ignore randy pitchford being a pedophile, look at the cool robot

Perkele incarnate

They are merely pawns user, someone else is pulling the strings.

I suppose you’re completely right. If Frank is a tranny. But don’t take my word for it, read a novel or watch a movie. No normal person uses they to refer to someone with a known gender. Give me one single example from literally any book or transcript in which a non hypothetical person is referred to as they. With context. I’ll wait.

On the battlefield you would be a fool to ignore all the footsoldiers in your aim to get to the general. They ALL took up arms against you, they are all enemies.

>Perkele
Isn't that the word of an ancient god from the finnish mythology that got corrupted by christians?

Language changes over time. People say "literally" thousands of times per day on this board when they're describing something figuratively.

And they’re wrong. If you bring it up, they won’t claim to be right, they’ll just say “you know what I mean.” That was a poor example.

Just imagine pointing to a man who just attacked you and saying "they assaulted me, arrest them!". Only an ESL would think that sounded correct.

Using they/them to refer to someone once you know their gender is confusing. Using the/them to refer to someone who's present in just fucking wrong.

One of the cyberpunk genres biggest points is body modification, so why is modifying your body a bad thing to implement?

I would rather say you are literally incorrect about that.

Alright, got me.
Made me kek.

Attached: 1564504113632.jpg (1079x947, 488K)

Who cares. Just don't break their retarded rules. It's like those people who make threads on Yea Forums after saying something against the rules in a game and getting banned, going
>say word
>have game stolen
This problem only exists because you don't ignore it. The entirety of Murica is fueling this entire PC movement. Almost every other first world country gives zero fucks about any of it. Ignore it and it goes away.

>kike crying about the shit his fellows do
Hmm

it translates to evil spirit. And yes, it was a corrupted rendition of something holy.

and when they say it they are using the term literally to denote that they mean exactly what they are discussing, attempting to minimize the amount of wiggle room they know the one they are conversing with will try to misconstrue. When I say someone is literally mentally ill, even though it is just my figurative description of them I mean they are mentally ill by the definition used to describe the mentally ill, not just someone I dislike.

Language changes with the epoch or the age, not day by day usage. That is called a corruption of language. We say show now instead of shew, that change happened 200 years ago, not yesterday. Even in a different spelling the definition of both show and shew is still the same as it was 600 years ago.

>On the battlefield you would be a fool to ignore all the footsoldiers in your aim to get to the general
Actually, no, history has shown time and again that a war only ends when the top heads are cut, When rome fought carthage they lost 98 thousand soldiers in one day, a number so great that literally no one in the entire republic wasn't family with or knew someone killed. Yet the death of a single tactician is enough to pull a country's war industry to a stop.

it's called dogma, user. it's not exclusive to religion, it's literally just the organized attempt to control thought, and it works.

Yes
For someone who isn't Finnish you seem to know a lot about the origin of the word

Or even worse
“Hey, is your brother coming over?”
“No, they aren’t.”
I would think they guy killed his brother and stuffed him in a box.

The use of literally has become metaphorical.

They/them is confusing as fuck when used improperly and purely a degeneration of language's ability to convey meaning.

>2 refugee of the sinno-finno hyperwars threads on Yea Forums in the same day, at the same time, all localized in my kitchen.

I wanted to live in Finland when I was a kid, then I grew up learned English and got some info about the country. Curiously though I actually learned about Perkele by studying the old religions of the proto-indo-european folks, it's interesting how all of them had a "Sky Father".

It also makes the passive assumption that the one being ascribed with they/them is less than the one described using a singular descriptor.
It is out and out insulting.

Because they are retards. Next you say "should of" is now correct because retards keep using it.

Lightning is come scary shit user. The japs use dragons as their sky daddies and the dragon looks like a lightning bolt.

>Arguing against the singular they while explicitly using it in your argument

You are anonymous, you are a hypothetical entity not in my presence.
Its like you enjoy being retarded and reductive.

You can't imprison someone who is currently shooting at you.

You think these people care about the destruction of language over their fetish?

See "latinx".

He literally described a hypothetical scenario involving imagined entities. That is LITERALLY the only time it is applicable you absolute moran.

Huh, funny, I always thought the asian dragons looked like serpents, which would make sense since they do like serpents. But now thatyou mentioned it, lighting does looks like an asian dragon.

Language doesn't just freeze at one point in time, it's like music or fashion.

T. Retard. That is absolutely not how a normal conversation will go unless you are deliberately trying to avoid saying he or she.

>Here are some normal, natural exchanges you might have with another native English speaker
>all that trash
lolno

which case are you talking about?

I can absolutely promise you that these posts were written by someone under 18.

>what is the japanese surrender of world war 2
>what is literally every mongolian war ever
killing the top brass is simply the moral way to end a war, but let's not pretend the absolute total devastation of hundreds of thousands of people doesn't forcibly crush an entirely new culture into existence using the corpse of the previous one

It's rude but that's how people talk about each other behind thier backs. You can slot a "they" in place of a "he/she" even if its technically grammatically incorrect.
>Hey, see that guy/girl over there? What do you think they're up to?
They/them is typically swapped out with him/her when the subject in question is visible but out of ear shot.
>Sitting across the room from a really fucking seedy guy
>Dude twitches frequently and has a million tattoos
>Both you and your friend have visually noticed this man
>Friend asks "Yo, what do you think their problem is?"
While it's grammatically correct to say "his" you had better believe that noone is 100% grammatically correct. Everyone has talked liked this at one point or another it's not unheard of.

I wonder how many of these people never heard "she is the mother's cat" in their life.

Fucking darkies.

t. Retard

I don't talk about real people behind their backs, ever.
You using it as a way it is allowed is just a further descriptor for a person that I don't want to interact with.
People doing something incorrectly en masse does not magically make their mistake correctly. It just highlights why people like me should be spending considerable effort in being a vanguard against the corruption.

Okay retard lol

You don't fuck up a language just to appeal to someone's fee fees, "they" has a very specific and functional job, it allows one to use it to indicate a syntactically non singular person, if you transform it into a simple neutral pronoun, that job is absolutely fucking destroyed. "He" has been used for that for several centuries, hell it happens even in other languages that are much more gendered than english, just stop fucking it up.
no u
The Japanese dropped on ww2 because they knew they were categorically technologically outmatched, you HAVE to know this. I'm not aware of the mongolian wars, but I'm aware of several roman wars, and what I do know about it is that focusing on the footsoldiers is the less resource efficient strategy, and doesn't has any higher likelihood of working.

>two posts saying the exact same thing, almost exactly one minute apart
DO A BETTER JOB OF HIDING YOUR SAMEFAGGING

If you want to be a complete autist you can check dictionaries. Literally can mean figuratively now.

>You don't fuck up a language just to appeal to someone's fee fees

Yes we absolutely do. We alter language to communicate better. It isn't some objective fact of the universe that certain sounds coming from a person's mouth mean a specific thing.

Did you know we dropped the nukes on Japan 3.5 days apart?
They were still willing to continue the war after Little Boy dropped. They were still martialling troops and deploying them. It wasn't until 3 days later that we nuked them AGAIN to show them we would continue until they stopped, and we intentionally dropped Fat Man on a civilian center. We had to do it because they wouldn't stop any other way.
They were willing to lose a war in horrific bloodshed, even being outmatched. It wasn't until we showed them we were willing to obliterate their entire population that they stopped.

The problem with your statement is that english already communicates perfectly. That is how it became the dominant language world wide. We take what we want from other languages to adapt our language further, not corrupt already ingrained terms.

Why do all the cool robots and masked people with obvious masculine silhouette HAVE to bee '' they '' abominations? Why can't they just be dudes or alternatively chicks?

>I don't talk about real people behind their backs, ever.
That's bullshit. And everyone here knows it.
>You using it as a way it is allowed is just a further descriptor for a person that I don't want to interact with.
So what I'm inferring from this part is that you do talk about people behind thier backs in the fashion I showed.
>People doing something incorrectly en masse does not magically make their mistake correctly.
I dunno user, SJWs and trannies that this way and it seems to be working fine for them.
>It just highlights why people like me should be spending considerable effort in being a vanguard against the corruption.
Why are you white knighting grammar

Because language needs a vanguard or people that fundamentally misunderstand it will corrupt it into ruin.

the suicide rates of trannies indicates nothing about life is working fine for them.

i hate transgenders and gays more because of their activism.

>Once you are aware of a person’s gender, you discard they. Tomorrow, count how many times you refer to a singular, known person as they. You won’t do it once.
I use singular they every day at work.
>Doctor, there's a patient in room 2. They have a question about their molars.

This.

>We alter language to communicate better
Appealing to someone's feefees doesn't equal communicating better. Hell just think of all the time people walk in eggshells, that's appealing to someone's emotions, but it's an absolute garbage way of communicating.
>It isn't some objective fact of the universe that certain sounds coming from a person's mouth mean a specific thing.
You're either being disingenuous or a retard, my point was that "they" has a very specific role in the language, and that changing the meaning of the word and damaging the language merely to appeal to someone's emotions in retarded. Mollycoddling isn't help.
>Did you know we dropped the nukes on Japan 3.5 days apart?
Yep, but there's more to it than simply the losses they had, You have to consider what every military knows, that resources are usually limited, Japan had no way of knowing just how "trigger happy" the US could be with their nukes after the first one was used, after all, they could have only one for example, and producing more could take time. Considering the nature of wars, I understand why the US did what they did even if I don't like it, my current fear is that this whole denuking thing will cause more wars to start.

This post is so fucking stupid I can't see straight after reading it.

>Language changes over time.
It's jarring to see this happening with "die" and "dice" where the two meanings are being completely reversed in public use

What do you have against gatekeeping?

I think that may be the most punchable face i have ever seen.
