I thought classic wow was supposed to be the most hardest hardcore game in gaming history? Who knew you could clear every raid on your guilds first week with only 40 players who weren’t even level 60 while wearing shit gear.
>Le ebin Classic players have more wow information than vanilla players
Try another damage control tactic boomer faggot
I thought classic wow was supposed to be the most hardest hardcore game in gaming history...
is wow gameplay suppose to be hard? from what I've seen its just press a skill on the hotkey bar then move, I thought people playing it for the fantasy social aspect fad, kinda like neopets but for older people with an income.
Nobody says it's hard except baiters, especially the first couple raids are piss easy.
and classic wow is even easier than that. like kindergarten tier.
>ask a question
>immediately dismiss the correct answer and request a different one
What did they mean by this?
>classic wow was supposed to be the most hardest hardcore game
No it wasn't. Never mind that virtually nobody has actually made claims quite in that vein (although there WERE people who thought classic wouldn't be trivial), this should be trivially untrue even a priori: a lot of players have over 10k hours of personal experience and even rookies can tap into billions of hours worth of know-how the community has accumulated. Unless you were to claim these mean literally nothing, it's trivially true contemporary players enjoy a tremendous advantage from experience alone, so any content that anyone managed to beat in retail would now be substantially easier. Add 1.12.1 talents and itemization on top of that for even greater indirect nerfs.
Alternatively, you could look at how content gets cleared on private servers: instantaneously and effortlessly. A lot of these servers are even DELIBERATELY BUFFED while Classic is Blizzlike.
Alternatively, you could look at empirical evidence of level of play from retail vanilla. Check out any world first video and you'll find keyboard turning backpeddling scrubs who are too casual to use consumables and might even fail at using class buffs. If THESE people managed to clear content, then anyone can.
Alternatively, you could approach this from pure theorycrafting grounds: Patchwerk for example requires damage-dealers to do 350 something DPS if I recall correctly. Numbers at least twice that high are easily achievable, and content is only ever hard when it's at
This, delete this thread. You're not allowed to break my delusion OP.
Raids aren't hard, finding 40 non-retarded people and wrangling them all is.
Why is OP replying to himself, then replying to that reply in his very same post?
It's more about preparation and having the knowledge. I find certain pulls harder than anything current wow has offer, and I'm a former top 100 raider in that shit game.
You just described every mmo ever. Games like wow are basically day cares for autistic people.
Weren't MMOs predating WoW considered to be much harder
Ive been healing dungeons as a ret pala in ret gear way underleveled(5-10 levels) sometimes without a tank just a hunter pet and it's way to EASY. Like now we did uldaman and ZF with a lvl 41 tank who can barely hit shit and me healing at 39 in almost full stam/str gear. Game is way to easy and it's just a massive time investment. Of course if you lvl and abuse layers it's just a matter of reaching to content first to get world first. Like apes been playing this same CRAP for 15 years. It would be embarrassing if they didn't kill shit fast and easy.
WoW was teh beginning of the everyone can win always MMO trend
It literally is the Dark Souls of MMOs. Just because 40 autistic yuroneets can speedrun it after practicing it on private servers for years doesn't mean that it's not hard as fuck.
I hate that you put just enough effort into this bait to make it 99% obvious instead of 100%. Why not go for the gusto if you're going to do it at all?
I'm trying to see how obvious I can be without getting called out. I'm sure someone would've taken it seriously if you hadn't responded. I'll keep it at 98% from now on, that seems to still work.
Just don't include a meme phrase and you'll be golden.
You might think so, but for certain definitions of "hard" (such as: some people can beat the content while others can't, and whatever stands in the way is "difficulty"), empirically WoW CAN be difficult. Here I'm trying to explain this specific definition of "difficulty", other definitions need not apply:
- The content most people do IS NOT difficult. Particularly in neo-WoW (Wrath and beyond), the scaling from gear is so ridiculous even just one additional week worth of gear is a tremendous nerf to the content: if you do a raid a month after the world first, you are already playing on easy mode. Alternatively, doing Molten Core with all players at max level, with consumables and some pre-raid gear is tremendously easier than the way did the classic first: everyone and their mother can clear Molten Core with little investment so doing MC now is "easy", but not literally everyone could do it with so little preparation.
- When the content is "difficult", ie. numbers required are close to what's theoretically achievable, you are playing the margins and it's difficult to see where you might even find room for improvement. Worse, these improvements don't come from a single source but are accumulated from numerous smaller factors like interrupting a cast just once (-> lower DPS uptime) in order to move when that actually wasn't strictly necessarily.
- When combined with the first point, doing the content when it's "difficult" requires micro-optimizations that are completely irrelevant for most people doing the content, and even the same tactics are a whole lot more difficult to execute when you can't afford to play it safe (being surrounded by fire and being ultra-diligent not to take a single tick of damage when it spreads vs just moving to clear side of the room).
The difficulty comes from putting together 40 man raids of players who are not retarded but have insane tolerance to mind numbing grind also.
Back in the day the hard part was getting people to show up for raid.
It's pretty easy. I read it's b/c the patch it's based off of was a huge buff patch. Pretty disappointed
Classic is nothing like vanilla you eternal pleb zoom suchuman
